Maybe a stop-gap like Mike Cameron to push Fukudome to RF.

Yes, because what this team needs is another outfielder that will hit .240 and strike out all the time.

But Fukudome brings that left-handed balance so it's okay.

Burrell is not the answer to anything. But he has 1 more year at like 8 Mil left on his deal. And he is not as big of a knucklehead as Bradley. Lets face it the Cubs are not going to get anything useful back for Bradley.

Which means there is NO way the Rays will take on an extra year and $13M for Bradley. If the cubs have to pay the difference it makes little sense to acquire a player with less value than Bradley. Eric Burns (1yr $11M) could be intriguing because he's been dealing with injury issues and IF healthy could provide some defense and a little speed. Plus he's got that whole fire and passion thing going on so that could lessen the pain of losing Reed Mantle.

I am not holding my breath on any of these deals being made but I would assume that wherever the Cubs try to ship Milton they would have to send back some cash in the deal in order to make this work

I assume that the Cubs will have to either trade for a similarly overpaid, under-achieving player, such as those mentioned here or say Zito, or they will most certainly have to send a bunch of cash in a deal to cover a significant part of the contract.

Maybe you think having a wife and Daddy's business and a house and some radio noteriety doesn't make you so, but you are truely the definition of a loser.

Have fun hoping you'll get to cubbie heaven or whatever catchy phrase you want to use for the cubs in 2010.

Your opinion of me is truely inconsequential. I am a very happy person and content with my lot in life, so I see no reason to alter anything. I love this life.

As far as 2010....I need to see how Ricketts sets the payroll and if Hendry is dismissed or allowed to stay on and what moves he, or another GM makes to this team, before making any predictions for next season.

But I am toying with .....Wrigley Field-The Champions den in 2010! Or don't ask when, it's 2010! or Franks girl blows other men in 2010...no, thats old news.

Here is a safe prediction, the Cubs won't win the Pennant.

Tribune says the Padres, Royals, and Giants could be interested in Milton, but the only one who has expressed interest is the Padres. They also mention the Giants might want to do a Bradley/Rowand trade, since Rowand sucks and is overpaid by 10 million.

Yeah I read that too, I can just imagine how excited some meatballs would be to get Rowand. But if we can get rid of Bradley, I will gladly take him. Maybe we can have an OF of Fuld, Rowand, and Reed Mantle and have an OF full of fire and passion! 8)

Burrell for Bradley makes a little bit of sense. Both teams want those guys out of their clubhouses. Maybe the Rays will take a chance on Bradley in a town where there's no media to cover him.

Yep, another fine example of ES shitting up a Cubs thread with White Sox "thoughts."
