Watched the encore MITM tonight.....no reason, it was on, remote was not within my reach, so I took one for the team.

Pappy starting out taking half hearted jabs at kenny williams, so many words and nothing was said, except that he is good friends with the chairman, suck ass bitch has to be on pappys business card.

Jen made some smart ass comment while jigs was talking and jigs ignores her, which only makes Jen go into her she-pappy act. She can stop the show dead in it tracks, its amazing to me that they give her any air time.

they had tim sassone on to talk hockey....this segment will not find its way to the tv hall of fame. Jigs doesnt have much to say and pappy shows us what its like to make no fricken effort at all into his show by asking about a goalie that is no longer on the hawks, he is corrected by sassone and he totally ignores it, shakes for about 30 seconds, confesses his love for kyle orton, realizes they are talking hockey and goes to break, ok, i added some stuff there, but it was weird.

pappy says to hug your love ones because whats going on in the phillipines.....shut up dick-head, you dont give a shit.

Pappy lets us know that jen, some bear and another poor soul will do a show together on sunday mornings....who had to much crack and decided to give jen more air time? Honestly, jen getting her own show is just to funny.

Pappy throughout the show had to ask about stats, players names in the highlites and other questions....jesus christ pappy, read a fricken paper, watch espn, do something, make a effort dumbass. this kind of effort will put pappy right in line to collect minium wage in the near future.

I havent watched the show in months, but one thing is clear, pappy could spend the whole 3 hours puking on the cluddered desk and it would improve the show. Jigs looks like he rather be eating and Jen just continues to prove because u have big hooters, it doesnt mean u have talent, train-wreck doesnt even come close to saying what this show has become or i guess continues to be.

I caught this the other night while enjoying some vicodin and it wasnt that bad. North is crazy annoying with talking over people. Like to the point if he was somebody's friend at a bar you'd be like "What the fuck is wrong with your friend?"

But I like Jiggets, He was breaking down the offensive line play and it was very interesting. Jiggs is good.

Since there was a new MITM thread I thought I would add these two observations from the show.

It seems to be the conventional wisdom, I am in this camp, that North had really established himself as a voice of the Chicago fan, and an everyman on the Radio. When he was just Mike North on the radio and not Mike North, playing Mike North, he was a tremendously popular radio personality. As someone else put it, Mike North the softball player was fun to listen to, but Mike North the media mogul/mafia guy is just a class A d-bag. Two things I picked up on this morning reminded me of the latter.

Mike and Jiggs were talking about Jacksonville drafting Tebow, and North, in a completely serious tone remarked that there have only been 4 blackouts in the NFL this year so he doesn't believe that we are in a recession. He was completely serious. It was just staggering, and that is why Mike sucks. I don't know if it was the money or the fame, but on a lot of these things I have the feeling Mike actually believes what he is saying. I don't know more than the next guy about economics, but I know that basing your opinion as to an economic recession on NFL blackouts is just about the most embarrassing thing imaginable.

The second point was Jiggs and North gave out five games of the week to bet on or something like that. They liked a few teams but one of the bets was the over in the game between Washington Tampa Bay. Pappy said, and I'll try to quote this as accurately as possible

"You should take the over, you want to know why gang, because last week the score between washington and someone else was 7-10 or something like that....(pause) yeah who was that guys (pause) the Rams, yeah the score was, what was the score guys? (producer or someone tells him the actual score) Oh and the game was two weeks ago, but that's why the over will come in this week"

I know it's just for entertainment on the show, but I'm pretty convinced when Pappy was up 300,000,000 units on DFM.com, that the logic he used above wasn't much more different than the logic he used to make the picks on his site. It didn't make me mad at Pappy, but more sad that (a) he thought he could have a successful record as a handicapper and (b) he took other peoples money to offer crappy picks and (c) there were people out there giving Mike money for his picks.

This wasn't meant to be this long or as much as a hatchet job but those two things stuck out today as stunning/idiotic more than the stuff that goes on there most days.

Well thought out post "onepost". I still cant find the money trail. Even haters like myself arent watching or listening or bitching. Why do advertisers go to him still? If he's paying for this then the money has to be drying up. He's not smart enough to have that much cash left.

Bookies are lining up to take North's action.
