The baseball season for Chicago's two teams ends Sunday, but for Cubs' TV analyst Bob Brenly, it'll continue next week when Turner/TBS Sports airs exclusive national coverage of all 4 of the MLB Division Series. Have your pencils & scorecards ready, as the following crews will work TBS' Division Series coverage starting Tuesday, according to awfulannouncing.com:

Chip Caray/Ron Darling
Don Orsillo/Buck Martinez
Dick Stockton/Bob Brenly
Brian Anderson/Joe Simpson

Atlanta Studio: Ernie Johnson, Jr., Dennis Eckersley, Tony Gwynn & David Wells

While we don't know where the other crews will be broadcasting games, one series has already been assigned. Orsillo, the regular PBP of the Boston Red Sox on NESN, will work his own team's ALDS matchup with the Anaheim Angels with Martinez on TBS next week. Martinez will also work the National League Championship Series on TBS with Caray & Darling, TBS' #1 team again this October. All MLB playoff games again this year can be heard on ESPN Radio 1000 locally.

Poor Bob gets the unenviable assignment of working with Dick "The Butcher". I hope he's ready for dealing with a guy that doesn't seem to know what stadium he's in half the time. After developing such a great rapport with Len Kasper it will be interesting to see how well he handles Stockton's inevitable lapses.

TBS' collection of announcers is bad. My god, would it kill to bring in someone decent for 2 weeks? When your A-team is led by Chip Caray, you know there is a problem.

Chip Caray's like nails through a chalkboard, and I can't stand listening to his irritating voice either, whether it's the Sunday afternoon game he called on TBS or the Atlanta Braves' games he calls the rest of the time on Peachtree TV down South. I also wonder how Anaheim Angels' fans are really feeling that Don Orsillo, who calls the Boston Red Sox games on NESN, can be all that neutral when he & Buck Martinez call that A.L. Division Series next week on TBS. Also, imagine if the St. Louis Cardinals represent the National League in the World Series and having to see and hear Joe Buck call the games with Tim McCarver on FOX Sports. They better not show their St. Louis bias if they make it that far...
