Tribune has a story on Tributosaurus - the band fronted by Matt "Meatpants" Spiegel. You can see Matt's band in all its glory on Wednesday night at Martyrs' (3855 N. Lincoln, Chicago, just down the street from Dead Wax Records, 3819 N. Lincoln).

Garo,

While you are browsing through the newspaper, can you read my horoscope?

Also, are there any good sales on lamb shanks?

...and can you recommend a good rub-n-tug place or a good horse to bet on?

No black man has ever read a Garfield cartoon.

Caught a "Bigmouth Strikes Again" open at 11 a.m. today and almost cried tears of joy. Not every day the Smiths and sports talk radio cross paths.

I too am enjoying the music!

Was that a little "Chinese Rocks" (Johnny Thunders/Heartbreakers version) I heard today?

Yep. "Bigman...(Yep)...walkin' in the park"

My band is doing a cover of that song with (as for now) me singing and playing drums. One of my favorite Beatles songs. It's about the only thing worth listening to on Yellow Submarine.

Nice to hear "Fight" just now -- a hidden gem on an otherwise so-so Stones album (Dirty Work)
