This show started to get pretty bad last year when the black people showed up, but tonight's season opener might very well have been the single worst half hour of television I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot of television.

It was basically unwatchable, I was actually glad when a storm knocked out my reception for the last 5 minutes.

Someone needs to tell Larry David that shouting does not equal comedy.

This is getting deleted from the season pass tonight.

I have to disagree. This wasn't the best episode of all time but it was pretty good. The crazy Funkhauser bit was good. And the slivers of Larry. And the 68 degrees versus 82 degrees stuff. And the prognosis bit.

That 68 vs 82 bit was funny? What part? When he screamed that he liked it cold and the black people screamed that they liked it hot and then all parties screamed at the same time? Yeah, comic gold. Almost as good as the refrigerator bit where everyone screamed at each other about when its ok to look in the fridge. But, none of it topped the dinner party when they were able to fit 12 screaming people into the same scene!

I know everyone is entitled to an opinion, but you'd have to have absolutely no taste if you found that episode anything but awful and unwatchable.

Shakes,
I don't knowing where they are going with the cancer jokes. When I saw Catherine O'Hara on (SCTV) as the crazy Funkhouser sister,I knew there would be some good laughs. Overall,I enjoyed it,but your point about the screaming is a valid one.

I thought last season was one of the best seasons they have done. Vivica A. Fox might not be great doing the improv thing, but the guy who plays Leon is hilarious. Leon might be my favorite character on the show's entire run.

Last night's episode was pretty good. Not the best, but I had no complaints. It looks like they are setting it up to bring Cheryl back and for Larry to dump Loretta. So you and Elmhurst Steve may get your wish and have all the Blacks gone.

As for the Seinfeld stuff, I heard that they should be showing up around episode 3. Not all of them will be in every episode together. But all 4 will play a role in this season, and there will be some shared screen time.

I think they were already teasing it when Cheryl told Larry it was different when he was doing Seinfeld. I think her saying that is going to be what gives him the idea for the reunion.

I missed the first 5 minutes but watched the remainder of the episode.
I thought it was ok, but will be sure to catch the parts that I missed this
evening. I thought it was funny that Jeff took advantage of Funkhauser's
sister ( maybe she took advantage of him? ). Other than that it just appeared
to be more of a warm up episode to set the wheels in motion for Larry to figure
a way out of his current relationship, finding a way to get back with Cheryl,
and tipping us off to the Seinfeld reunion.

As a sidenote, they had a 15 minute preview special on the season earlier
in the week that I was able to DVR. Apparently they were able to salvage
90% of the original Seinfeld sets for Jerry's apartment and Monks. It was
interesting to see them put it together and what it looks like off camera.
They decided that Jerry's apartment looked too outdated so they ended up
giving him a stainless steel fridge and granite countertops, along with a
flatscreen TV to name a few examples. Pretty funny. Hard to believe that
Seinfeld wrapped up about 11 years ago. There will be a lot more characters
back than just the main 4.

I liked it. Not the best. It was just a set up episode. It had some funny lines. Every "Curb" does. I disagree, Shakes. I liked when Larry brought the black family in. I like the "Black vs White" humor. I like them poking fun at the stereotypes. I like the fact that Larry put his racism aside in order to bang a hot black girl. That was a funny overtone to the black family introduction.

The exchange between Larry and the Doc when he discovered he was gay was good. Larry got off a good line that made you think. It was clever.

Larry: Wow, I never knew. I'm surprised.

Doc: What does that mean? I'm offended!!!!

Larry: Would it have been better if I said pleasantly surprised?

I've read some reviews from people who have seen the season. They say the hilarious episodes are yet to come. Many have said this will be the best season.

Five episodes, started at or after episode 3. Two episodes have all the main cast together, and there will be other Seinfeld regulars on, too, like George's mom.

This past Sunday's episode was really good. I think now that the Seinfeld
cast is being featured it should ramp things up a bit. When Larry was talking
to Michael Richards in that restaurant I was cracking up.

Yeah, he does look a little scary. The years haven't been all that kind
to him. Elaine looks pretty good for a 48 year old woman.

Yeah, that episode was great. I think that was the first time I have ever heard Jerry Seinfeld swear. I know he doesn't swear in his act, and im pretty sure he has never done a movie where he swears either. The argument with Jason Alexander had me dying as well. I think this season is going to be one to remember, and a great way to close out one of the funniest shows of this decade.

She looks amazing! She does not look touched up,either! Even my daughter (loves Seinfeld) admits she looks better now then back in '92. I have to admit, would not mind doing some "missionary" work with Elaine!

I think the Seinfeld reunion was funny, but the one before it "Vehicular Fellatio" was one of the funniest Curbs ever.

Decent season so far. The Richard Lewis and Marty Funkhauser episodes are usually my faves. I hope Leon comes back.

+1 on Julia Louis Dreyfus being very MILFy

I agree about Lewis & Funkhowser! I don't know how many people remember, but Funkhowser is played by "Super Dave Osborn". He has been around for 40 years doing the "bad stuntman" shtick. He was supposed to be like a bad Evel Kneival. I think he started on the Smothers Brothers. Larry might have met him on "Fridays",an old ABC ripoff of SNL. That is where he met Michael Richards.

This is one of the few shows that gets better every single year. Still hasn't peaked yet.

Super Dave was one of the best. I loooved that stuff. Funkhauser is great with the deadpan. I don't think he has even cracked a smile since he started on the show.

Also didnt know until a few days ago that Larry David was a writer on SNL

the idea for the episode in which george poisons his boss originally came to him while he was at SNL. i think he had an idea to walk into lorne's office and tell him he quit, then mull over the weekend, come back on monday like nothing happened.

Super Dave is none other than the brother of Albert Einstein. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Also, Jimmypasta, I think you might be my father. Your hobbies, habits, and style are always what I imagined my old man would be like if he ever got on the internet.

Another good episode last night. Had me laughing on a number of
occasions. His interactions with Christian Slater were especially
good and I also enjoyed him running for his life a couple of times. No
Seinfeld members in this episode for those who were curious.
