I hope they don't make this movie for laughs. The Green Hornet was as realistic as a super hero TV show could get. It's plotlines were very bland though. There was one crazy episode (actually,it was a 2 parter) about some spaceship hoax but other then that the bad guys were no match and poor plotting hurt the show.
Seth Rogen could have a franchise on his hands if this is done well.

The Taiwanese pop singer Jay Chou, below, is going to have to share the spotlight: he’ll be playing Kato to Seth Rogen’s Green Hornet in Columbia Pictures’ adaptation of the 1930s radio series created by George W. Trendle and Fran Striker, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The 30-year-old singer was cast as the superhero’s sidekick and valet, a role famously played by Bruce Lee in the 1960s television version. In the latest adaptation, the part of Kato was going to be played by Stephen Chow, who was to direct as well, but Michel Gondry replaced him in the director’s chair earlier this year, and Mr. Chow left the project entirely last month, The Reporter said. Mr. Chou landed the role after a video audition last month with Mr. Gondry and Mr. Rogen, who also wrote the screenplay with Evan Goldberg. “I won’t try to be Bruce Lee’s Kato,” Mr. Chou said. “I will try to bring my own interpretation to the part.”

I'm not exactly thrilled either...When you think Seth Rogen, you usually think comedy movies like "Knocked Up", which makes its broadcast debut Sunday @ 7p on E!. Seth being cast as "The Green Hornet" may be as bad as Michael Keaton, when he donned the dark "Batman" costume in 1989. Jack Nicholson became a very, very rich man though...

This could have been a short lived mult at one time....

After languishing through OBSERVE AND REPORT, I don't think it will take too many more bombs for Seth Rogen to fade back into obscurity. ...and THE GREEN HORNET has bomb written all over it.

Two things from the pic,

1. Does the Green Hornet have a prosthetic hand?
2. Why am I picturing him as his Pineapple Express character running in the costume?

T-bone, thank you for proving that the entire purpose of a mult could just as easily be accomplished by posting a picture using your normal ID. Hopefully the morons who have mults took notice of this.

I tend to agree, Beef...I've heard some less than flattering things about "Observe & Report" even before it became available on DVD.
