Lou Holtz is doing the Boise St. game tonight, and ESPN should be embarassed having him do a game. It gets annoying listening to him, sounds like he is slobbering all over. Its bad enough having to watch him in studio, now he's doing a game.

I love the guy. I get tired of the announcers with the golden pipes who sound like disc jockeys.

I'm not sure who's calling the national radio broadcast of the ALCS & NLCS on ESPN Radio, but I'd trade Dan Shulman for Chip Caray in a heartbeat!

Holtz was absolutely brutal to listen to last night. I like him in small doses as a commentator, but I actaully watched parts of the game with the sound off he was so bad.

I still don't understand why someone who oversaw three programs who went on probation because of things that went on under his watch is on tv so much.

Would MLB make Pete Rose a commentator?

I'm still dumbfounded as to why he thinks that Charlie Weis is the most underrated coach in college football... He needs to be taken out back and shot...

I've noticed that ESPN has the "College Gameday" & "College Football Live" guys on campus for 1 game a week. While Kirk Herbstreit teams up with Brent Musburger & sideline reporter Lisa Salters for ESPN/ABC Sports' "Saturday Night Football" marquee game, Kirk's teammates on "ESPN's College GameDay" work the "Thursday Night Football" game on the "Worldwide Leader". Tonight, Chris Fowler & Lee Corso are joined by their ESPN on ABC colleague Jesse Palmer and Erin Andrews on the sidelines for the Cincinnati/South Florida game at 6:30p. I think Lou Holtz, Mark May & Rece Davis describe a college game on Wednesday nights for the network...

Agreed. Wholeheartedly. But then I remembered the human pus stain that was Jimmy Valvano(or as ESPN foists upon us, the "Great St. Jimmy V.")

Guys, moment of silence for Jim Valvano, please. Thank you.
