I looked in this section to see if anything had been posted about this show yet and I didn't see anything, so I am going to post this - if it has already been, my apologies.

I had the unfortunate opportunity to watch this show for the first time this weekend. I came home and my wife and daughter were watching this. Let me just say that this could easily go into the douchebag section for each and every parent that is subjecting their kids to this creepy shit. It made me feel dirty watching it that it was so bad. The expectations that are laid on these kids by these talent shows along with the creepy parents made me very sad for the generations to come.

I am not sure what the parents goals are other than either trying to relive their lives vicariously through their kids or chasing the almighty fame dollar but this show needs to be pulled off the air immediately. It is way creepy.

I saw a commercial for this and my thought was "how the hell is this not illegal?"

After watching about 15 minutes of it, I wondered that myself. It was disturbing on so many levels. The emphasis that they are putting on beauty and being better than everyone else is sad and pathetic.

It's child abuse, plain and simple.

Agreed. Those parents should be thrown in chipper/shredders. That'd be an entertaining show.

Yeah and I could try and set up my 3 year old with one of them and I could watch them play together.

Any of the behind the scenes pageant shows are annoying because it shows just how idiotic everybody involved with the shows are. The judges, parents, "coaches," and participants are equally psychotic. Once I did catch a "coach" actually make a salient suggestion, there was some teen pageant and his contestant spackled on the make-up until she looked like middle-age woman and he said, "they want you to look like a teen, not a MILF" or something. The teen looked incredulous and still carried herself like a middle-age woman for the competition, but it was nice someone had a clue.

In light of Nas's response in the Breast Cancer thread, I am going on record that my earlier statement here was written entirely for the a shot at humor and nothing else. I DO NOT have a thing for underage living porcelain dolls and DO NOT wish to do any sexual acts whether to them or to myself, whatsoever. I now realize that by making that comment has offended some and for that I am sorry.

As a CSFMB poster, you must accept your responsibility to occasionally offend others.
