Falcons vs Vikings in 1998 NFC championship game.

Yes.
No, but not an awful guess. That was a -10.5 spread.

Jaguars over Broncos in AFC championship game. 95 or 96. Before the Broncos won their 2 Super Bowls.

One of the most reliable angles over the last decade has been big home dogs. It hasn't worked at all.

96 Divisional game, Jags over Broncos. Winner winner. You win one free blackjack taco from Taco Bell on Halloween.

Yeah. I know my upsets. That Bronco team was 14-2 and had a more dominate regular season then they had in their 2 Super Bowl winning seasons. I should have remembered in was a divisional game. Wild card Jags went into mile high and beat them. Amazing.

I misspoke above. I have the line for the NE/NYG Super Bowl at 12.5 in my database. It was not another 14 point spread.

Next largest upsets after that are the Denver win over Green Bay in the 1997 Super Bowl, Indianapolis over Kansas City in the 1995 Divisional round, Atlanta over Minnesota in the 1998 playoffs (robbing us of potentially one of the great all-time Super Bowls IMO), and San Diego's win over Indianapolis in 2007.

My biggest winning bet was on a dog in the playoffs. It was the Ravens over the Raiders in the AFC championship game. This was the year the Ravens won the Super Bowl. 2001 I think. I was in Vegas. They were 6 or 7 point dogs to the Raiders but I bet the Ravens on the money line.

Am I the only one who remembers the Pats were 14.5 dogs to the Rams in their first SB?

Wow, I completely goofed on that. Yes, that was the -14.5 Super Bowl, not the Denver/GB Super Bowl. Denver was an 11.5 point underdog. Oops. You also get a free blackjack taco.

Scorehead, perish the thought...Besides, just imagine how irate The SCORE's postgame duo of Doug Buffone & Ed O'Bradovich will be if the Bears lose Sunday. I know Doug & OB were furious after the Bears got their clocks cleaned Sunday in Cincinnati, and before going to the national Westwood One broadcast of the yawner between the Eagles/Redskins, LoHo sounded pretty pissed off as well and wanted to hold Lovie accountable for this mess. "Trust me?" I think not...

I was waiting for "Dick Jauron!!" mark II, last week. They didn't quite get there. A pathetic loss this week might tilt them over the precipice & into attacking the fans. Which appeals, somewhat :-)
