The way it's going it should be the Falcons & ?. I really thought that second spot was going to be the Bears but that is fading quickly.

With losing already to Atlanta and GB, I figure they need to go 8-2 in these last 10 games to make the playoffs.

Don't give it to Atlanta just yet. They have 2 games left with the Saints. Road games against the Giants and Jets and they play Philly at home. That could be 4 losses right there. Maybe they lose all 5.

Cowboys don't make it. I see them going 4-6 to finish the season at 8-8.

9-7 might do it for the Bears but they have to beat Philly, SF and GB. Or at least 2 out of those 3.

I'm not giving the WC to anybody just yet. I'm saying given the Bears situation, I think 11-5 is what they need to make the playoffs. There's some good teams in the NFC this year, and likely a 10-6 team will be watching the playoffs at home. That could be the Bears.

Bears have 3 easy wins that they'll be favored by double digits (Cleveland, St. Louis & Detroit). Vikings might not need that 2nd to last game we play vs them so they rest people. That's 4 wins right there. I've got them to 7. Then if they just go 3-3 in the other games that gets them to 10 wins. Wild Card!!! Woo hooo!!!! How you like me now?

i cant see nope than 4 losses the rest of the way for the packers. I think they go into that ending tough 5 game stretch 8-3. I still think they who the division. I think vikings and falcons grab the wildcard spots

Vikings get only a WC? I see some typos there, ff; I hope you are drinking.

10-6 gets you in with that group, unless the tiebreaker gods work against you. Beat GB and Minnesota once and you're cool vis a vis the Packers.

It's very clear that we're rooting for the Vikings to beat the Packers this week. Give the Vikes the division. Then that's one more loss for the Packers. We'll be tied with them at 4-3 cuz we're beating the Browns. That will be 2 losses to the Vikes for the Packers, a common opponent of the Bears which is one of the tie breakers. We still have the Packers at home. Gotta win that or they'll have the tie breaker with a season sweep vs us.

about the tenth. Didn't think anyone would agree and i havent seen the vikings schedule. I see no nope than four losses. I think they will win 11 or 12 still. They'll beat minnesota this week.

You didn't see them losing until aroung week 14 either, and that didn't work out so well.

Check out who all of the 4-2 wild card teams play this week. It could be losses for all of them.

Falcons @ Saints
Packers vs Vikings
Eagles vs Giants
Cowboys vs Seahawks

Bears beat the Browns and we're all tied at 4-3. S.F plays at Indy so they drop to 3-4. That's a lock. Indy is 12 point favorites.

Excellent point, Beardown. An upset may occur, but the Week 8 schedule looks favorable for the Bears W/C drive.

BTW - Did anyone provide this analysis on the radio today: Mac, S&W, B&B, M&H?

ib dont turn into the meatball you so despise. I said 7-3 or 8-2 going into thanksgiving. Look it up. Beat the vikings this weekend and that's probable. I did however really underestimate minnesota

I was being sarcastic, brosephina. I've been known to not be entirely serious on occasion.

I assume you don't watch many Seahawks games (at least when they aren't wearing the neon green!)

I've already got the Bears "Wild Card Round" opponent figured out. Saints and Vikings finish with the best records so they get byes. So the Bears will either play the west winner, Cardinals or the East winner, Giants. If we play the Cardinals we beat them. We might have a shot vs the Giants cuz Eli sometimes goes bad. He was bad last year in the playoffs vs the Eagles. We'll lose in the next round to the Saints. Can't play the Vikes in the 2nd round cuz we're in the same division and we can't meet them until the NFC championship round. So one playoff win and a loss to the Saints in round 2. Not bad. Can't expect much more this year with this roster.

Don't you guys love how I figure all of this shit out for you?

We're going to find out a lot about the Philadelphia Eagles, who struggled in the second half vs. a really inept Washington Redskins team on "ESPN's Monday Night Football". While the Bears are naming their score vs. the Cleveland Browns Sunday, the Eagles have their hands full vs. a New York Giants' team that's lost 2 in a row to the New Orleans Saints & Arizona Cardinals. It won't get any easier after that. The Eagles welcome their fellow NFC East division rivals from Dallas for "NBC's Sunday Night Football" at "The Linc" in 2 weeks. If there's any team that's really hard to get a read on, it's the Cowboys. Tony Romo is becoming as maddening as a certain former Bear whose initials are Rex Grossman. No sooner does he play good vs. Atlanta in a win Sunday at home, there are games like the one in Denver where he doesn't get the job done. Besides, with every loss, the Mike Mulligan-looking Wade Phillips moves that much closer to unemployment.

Seahawks blew out the 49ers. I just think the Cowboys are bad and might lose this game. They might. It is in Dallas so it won't be easy for Seattle. If not the Cowboys will lose other games down the road and won't be a factor.

All you need to know about Cowboys/Seahawks is that Tony Romo botched the snap in that NFC Wildcard game that should've won the game for Dallas, circa 2006. The Bears should've gotten the Cowboys, not Seattle that January day.

What about Beano? He's the one who once said "The Big Ten plus Northwestern"...

NSJ, I remember Beano once said that during one of his many chats from that perch of his in Pittsburgh...Beano's been a fixture at ESPN/ABC Sports for many, many years...

Ok. I went to NU. My senior year, we were much like some Illinois seasons since 2000 - we won no games!

What year did he say this? If he's said it in the last 15 years, he's insane.

I think he said it before Gary Barnett guided Northwestern to the Rose Bowl, not to mention when Penn State joined the Big Ten...
