Any time you root for a former Bear to be hired as a coach, you are going to here the "M" word. But the last time the Bears hired a former player as head coach it worked out pretty damn well.

what does everyone expect from the bears? The line is bad but they've made moves the last couple years to improve. It hasn't worked but they've tried. The reason i've never attempted to join a packers message board is i'm worried they will sound as football retarded as bears fans. Not everyone can have a top 5 qb and that, at the minimum, is what it would take to compete consistently. Your current qb, by your own comments, needs good to great surrounding players to do that

I'm not so sure that Bill Cowher wants to leave the New York studio and return to coaching like so many have speculated since "retiring" from the Pittsburgh Steelers to join CBS Sports and "The NFL Today". The only way Cowher returns to coaching full time hinges on whether a team makes the kind of offer that gets him away from Dan Marino & Shannon Sharpe's big mouth once and for all. I think Cowher likes it in the confines of the CBS studio...

I been in the KC area the last few days, and tuned into some of their sports talk radio, and it was pretty funny. One of the most comment calls they took from fans complaining about the Chiefs was that they thought Haley was clueless as a head coach because he screamed and yelled too much and looked like he was completely out of control.

Our fans bitch and moan because Lovie does not scream and yell and they bitch because theirs does. Fans are sure crazy.

Well, the KC fans are right...Haley doesn't have a clue as head coach...& he doesn't deserve to be a head coach. The similarity between the Chiefs & the Bears is that both teams are badly coached.
Again, having fire & passion doesn't make you a good coach...but a good coach with fire & passion is a bonus & certainly more enjoyable as a fan.
