Just as long as it's swinging... oh yeah, oh yeah...

I don't really understand questions like this. I can only speak for myself, but I like good music. It doesn't matter who made it, if I think it's good music I'll listen.

Come on Kiddie! You know what he means....

You know how I feel about that. I get real fiery (and passionate) when it comes to music discussions. I'm all about bridging these cultural gaps. I was just listening to some Toto on the way to work, then I switched to Anita Baker, then to George Michael, then to Jay-Z, then to Pink Floyd. Music is music.

The question wasn't meant to be offensive or even emotion provoking. It would be great if everyone was as open to different styles of music as you OKC...but I don't think that's generally the case. There are a lot of Mike Norths and Macs out there who rarely venture out of their comfort zone. Personally I like to think I'm open to pretty much anything music-wise, but I also admit that my exposure to "new" stuff has been pretty limited over the last several years.

out here in the sticks, we don't have much access to good rap. Hence all my questions. I didn't realize I was so out of date on the scene...I used to love rap.

My rap expertise stops around 1995 and I'm largely okay with that.

The first Naughty By Nature album (yes the one with OPP) I still find to be very underrated. It's a very good album front to back. The next one (with hip hop hooray) and subsequent ones are not very good at all. But the first one is a classic. "Strike a nerve", "Rhyme'll Shine On", "Wickedest Man Alive", "Ghetto Bastard"...all great songs

The first one wasn't bad but I think their best album was 19NaughtyNine: Nature's Fury. Very underrated, and it was their last album with K-Gee as the DJ.

My favorite bumper is that one with the Rhodes piano but I don't know how to explain it any better.

It would piss me off how they would only play the lame Lil' Kim remix on the radio and NEVER the original version with Prodigy rapping over the whole track. Used to love Mobb Deep....

True, but I think that Lil Kim helped them get a lot of airplay too. I'm sure they didn't mind.. :)

BTW, at about 5:25 Jason dropped a little Tribe Called Quest "Bonita Applebum"....I think I can get my hip hop card back for that one.

I wonder if Jason is following this and if he'll start playing "try to stump spmack"...

I heard it but I wasn't by a computer, and plus I figured that since it wasn't rap that COF wasn't interested.
