I would say 2-2 at best, but would probably say 1-3 or 0-4 more likely.

So after that four game stretch they will go 8-0? You should try watching a Bears game.

I hope you're right, Nas.

I also hope you get out to see a shrink fast if you honestly believe this team will finish at 12-4. With that offensive line, they will be lucky to finish 9-7.

Right, and you call me a meatball.

What makes you think that this team will win at the Metrodome and/or beat the Vikings at home?

Explain then for the class how the Bears will only lose 1 of these games:

@SF on a short week
@Minnesota
GB at home
@Baltimore
Minnesota at home

2-2 maybe 3-1 depends on what version of McNabb shows up. They could also beat Minn if the Def is up to snuff plus if Forte looks like he did today. If the good McNabb shows up expect a blow out, the corners can not keep up.

The Bears opponent should be favored in each of these games. 3 of the Bears next 4 opponents are better than the Bears, with the only question mark being the 49ers, who played the Colts tough today, but that game is on the road & Singletary will have the Niners ready to play against his old team. The Bears might just go 0-4 during this stretch.

Rather than living in the realm of the hypothetical, you could have simply looked up the lines that were put out last night, where the Bears are a three point, -115 favorite next week against Arizona.

I expect the San Fran game to be a pick 'em, the Philly game to be Philly +3, and Minnesota to be -7.5 or so.

Something about the Cardinals and 49ers you guys see that I don't.

I see those as victories. Then they get the Eaglos at home. Tough game, but I think it is winnable. At Vikings is a loss.

2-2 with a possible 3-1.

That's how I read it too. The Cardinals just looked awful at home against the Panthers, and the Giants victory suddenly looks a lot less impressive. San Francisco might be riding a five game losing streak into that game.

If you go 2-2 through that stretch you'll go 3-2, because St. Louis is next, and that leaves you at 7-5 with four left to play. The devil is in the details there; 2-2 with a win over Philly puts you in a really good spot, while 2-2 with a wins over the two NFC West teams breaks badly for tiebreaker outcomes. 3-1 (or 4-1 with the Rams game) leaves you 8-4 with the game at Detroit in the final week; even if the loss is against Philly, you'll likely make the playoffs by winning the home divisional matchups or stealing one in Baltimore, which is not out of the question.

Also remember that the Minnesota game at the end of the schedule might be easier than it appears. What's Favre's record in cold weather over the past half decade or so?

I expect them to continue to suck.

I really want Pace moved, Olsen used differently or out, and Bennet moved to #1. Don't know if they'll do it.

But they're about half way through the season. It's a good ball club, they've got some good players, I like some of the things they are doing. They are 4-3 and going to work on some things. They'll go from there. :roll:

Switch him and Chris Williams and if that doesn't work put in Schaffer.

You want Williams in that spot? Haven't you been bitching about how bad he is playing too?

No I don't think so. I said he'd going to have some trouble because he is learning and I think he is playing out of position.

The Bears certainly are better than the 9ers, but traveling out west on a short week is what scares me a little.

Bears can win the 2 home games vs the Cardinals and Eagles. Bears have a good home field advantage. Never underestimate home field in the NFL. It's huge. Bigger for some teams and the Bears are one of those teams. They'll get killed by the Vikings at the dome. They have a chance to beat the 49ers in SF.
