A TV show is canceled after they make "nothing but money" as North claims. I guess the people at Comcast didn't like making millions and millions of dollars. They had to end it. It was getting out of hand. Same with webio if you remember. North said it was making "nothing but money" as well. "Hernandez just wouldn't let us send out da invoices". What was the total income of webio? It was reported somewhere. I think $2,000 in sponsor money for 6 months or something like that. It's funny that North's projects are the only ones that get canceled despite making tons of money.

Somebody said it right. North is delusional.

Where is this story you guys are referring to?

Taking this at face value, only reason I'd throw this guy out, presuming it made nothing but money, is because they don't want to deal with the legalities of Hernandez Ponzi Scheme case.

Of course, if North didn't deal with the expenses of producing the show (and I think that was Comcast that borne those expenses,) yeah, it's nothing but money! Well, aside of paying Jiggs and Jen.

I cannot help but think he kicks himself every night for walking out on that $850 K offer from the SCORE. Even if it was for 1 year, that would have brought him through the worst of the recession.

Plus he avoids the Webio fiasco for at least 1 more year.

Plus he would have avoided writing checks to Hood, Chet, Weber and the rest of the webio boys. He also would have avoided the cost of defending himself in this lawsuit. Life would have been so much easier for him if he would have accepted that 850k from those horrible people at the SCORE.

He wrote those checks to cover his ass and make him look like an innocent victim. Some people bought the act until Shear busted him when he revealed North and Hernandez knew each other for 14 years. What the guy is doing now is just lieing out of his ass so some suit will buy his bs and give him another chance. All media guys do this so nothing is new.

as for the score, everyone knows they didnt want him around. THey knew he would leave the 850k.

He tells himself that he wouldn't have lasted a year. And he would NOT have.

But the Score couldn't see the genius of a man who continuously lost to nationally-based ESPN programming and thought debating Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductions with Anne Maxfield and reading outdated baseball standings from the early editions of the papers was good radio. I mean, can you blame him for being insulted by their offer? The man was a visionary and they offer him a measly $850,000?

I know you explained it before, but I am a little slow. Do these contracts typically have an out after one or two ratings books?

I love schooling Ignatius grads.

Mike's original contract in the AM was a five year deal.

His future contracts at WSCR would have been like many are in radio. 13, or 26 weeks at a time. No improvement, and you are gone.

Look what Mac, a solid ratings guy got. A one year deal.

You are hilarious with the responses Dolphin.

And no, I won't be crying in my coffee. I think that they are both idiots.
