If you go to the schedule currently posted at 670thescore.com, you'll notice a familiar name getting YET ANOTHER AIRSHIFT at the CBS Radio-owned sports talker this weekend. Yes, fans, Bruce Wolf has been penciled in for another airshift. For the last several weeks, Bruce has been riding sidecar with Bruce's NBC5 teammate & SCORE update anchors Matt "The Dancing Fool" Rodewald, Mark Grote & the Chris Chelios-looking Mike Esposito hosting local sports talk on Saturday afternoons and on Sunday mornings due to the Bears starting their game later that day or night.

This Saturday afternoon, thanks in large part to Northern Illinois playing Central Michigan Thursday night in college football, Wolf & Grote will be talking sports between 12Noon-4p. It's unclear if Wolf will be working later that night on NBC5's 10p newscast, but I'm reasonably sure Grote might have some sports update duty on WSCR's sister station WBBM Newsradio 780 at some point. With all the airshifts Wolf has been getting lately, it makes one wonder if The SCORE might be Bruce's new permanent radio home, albeit on the weekends.

I am a fan of Bruce, just not as a regular show guy. Part of what makes him funny is his "outsider" status.

He should attain Giangreco status, pop in twice a week for an hour and go.
