Here is my report card thus far for the Bears:

QB C
RB D
WR C
TE D
OL F
Total Offense D

S D
DB D
LB C
DL C
Total Defense D+

ST B
K A
P B

When your kicking game & special teams game are the best parts of your game, you are in trouble.
Every single facet of the Bears game needs substantial improvement with the exception of the Kicker position.

The Bears are below average in every single facet of offense and defense and yet they are 4-3. That must be one hell of a coaching job by Lovie Smith then.

Why did you repeat that the Bears were worse than Tampa, Oakland, and Kansas City even when called on it? And are the Bears worse than Washington or Jacksonville?

i would give the wr's a b and cutler a b-. Overall defense i would give a b-. Did scorehead really say the bears are worse than tampa bay or st. Louis? Are we sure he's not a mult?

Scorehead said that the Browns were the only team in the entire NFL the Bears would have beaten on Sunday.

Scorehead you repetitive rube,

You make the Chaunce question even cumming to this site anymore. Your "opinions" on Ditka, Bad Bears teams, and Fox News have the validity of a review of Shakespeare authored by Ronnie Woo Woo.

This report card you've cum up with only goes to the point, that the best you can hope for in life is a brief lick of the Chaunce-Sack.

Let me give you The Chaunce-Report Card

Scorehead-F
North-F
Grobber D- (The Chaunce awards points for not being you or North)
The Chaunce-A
The Chaunce-Sack A+

If a Kid was actually coached by this guy Scorehead, No chance for football, follow Chaunce to the outdoors instead

I’m bringing Chauncey back
Them other fools don’t know how to act
I think you're special, lets go in the back
So turn around and lick the Chaunce's sack!

Take 'em to the chorus

Come here girl
Go ahead, be gone with it
Come to the Sack
Go ahead, be gone with it
VIP
Go ahead, be gone with it
Lick Chauncey
Go ahead, be gone with it
Let me see what you’re working with
Go ahead, be gone with it
Look at those lips
Go ahead, be gone with it
You make Chaunce smile
Go ahead, be gone with it
Go ahead child
Go ahead, be gone with it
And get your Chauncey on
Go ahead, be gone with it

Get your Chauncey on
Go ahead, be gone with it

Hey Chauncey, what was up with you and Kashul in regards to the whole black face/Aunt Jemima fiasco?

I'm sorry - I had a cogent (or at least I thought) remark on this thread and then I read Chaunce's post and can't get the picture of Chaunce getting down to JT and working his magic on the dance floor out of my head!

At the risk of invoking the RPB initiated and KI adopted tagline, Chaunce, whoever the hell you are - you are one funny MF'er!

This is funny as shit. I think you are a Bernsy mult. Thats some analyses you did there.. the Bears are 4-3 so the grades are wrong. The Bears have played shit teams.
"I do analyses; I don't do grades"! Pardon me.

Still waiting for some analyses though...

IB, who the hell do you think you are, Hub Arkush? I do analyses!
you know good & well that if you graded the Bears, your grades would be very close to mine.
You might make WYC with that last post.

Scorehead - I am curious to know what your grade would have been for the defense if Urlacher had not gone down. I know that there is no way to properly predict this, but do you think it would have been worse, better or the same?

I see only 2 games that fall in that category. All 4 of those road games are possible losses for any team in the league.

True, they do suck. But regardless it is a tough place to go and get a win.

I guess we'll see how it plays out this year. They stomped two bad teams. Lost a close game to an average team, and got stomped by an average team this year there. I wouldnt be too worried if I was a player and saw @Seattle on our schedule this season

Case in point: Hub is currently defending his ridiculous Devin Hester is NOT a WR position. Results say Hub is wrong...Hub's argument: Hes not a wide reciever. HARDCORE ANALYSIS

22nd in receptions (35)
21st in yards (454)
20th in First Downs (23)

Seems like hes around the 20th best WR in the NFL

On pace for 80 receptions for 1037 yds and 7 TDs
Guess thats NOT A WR

Those rankings include TEs and RBs as well. Also, Hester has only played 7 games, while several of the players above him have played 8.

Don't question the football IQ of Arkush. Afterall he was a backup punter on a division II or III school, he told us so.

Hub Arkush is a great example of a guy that would never make it in any meaningful way if he started today. There are hundreds of niche websites that can do analyses every which way, whether your statistically minded, or prefer the scouting aspects, or even if you prefer traditional football "narratives" but simply like the writing done well. It used to be that a printing press, a glossy magazine, and some ads could buy you a placement in newsstands and booksellers, and at that point you'd hold a monopoly on analysis outside of the local newspaper (and even that was mostly op-ed; the newspaper's main function was to provide the beat coverage).

He's been utterly vanquished as a news provider by ESPN (more resources), Mike Florio (quicker to the draw) and the NFL itself. He doesn't have the mind or the wherewithal to do any sort of analysis. And yet, rather than focus on one, he tries to split the difference and does a crappy job of both. What value-added does Hub provide at this point, besides from having been around for a long time and knowing people?

I agree with what you're saying, as a kid all you had when it came to sports news was the magazine rack at Jewel or Dominicks, now it's all at your fingertips. Does anyone know if PFW is respected around the country? Do they still have large circulation numbers? I know he still has his syndicated radio and television show, but I'm curious as to what his rep is nationally. Do you think he's making radio appearances around the country because of his PFW work, or is he just local at this point when it comes to seeking out his opinion?

If you didn't know better, and just depended on Hub's analysis, you would believe that the Bears are 1-6 right now. I don't remember him being this negative when he was working for the Bears on the flagship station, but things have obviously changed.

His Hester defense is just stupid at this point. I wonder if attacking Hester's ability to play the position is just a subtle attempt to jab the Bears management for giving him big money when at the time there was at least question about it.

Hub is not particularly well regarded in NFL journalistic circles. It's not that he's regarded poorly. But he's just a guy. Actually, considering the length of how long he's been doing this, that is somewhat sad.

Hub has been very outspoken about the Bears' wide receivers even before the Jay Cutler trade. At the same time, I heard Hub mention something yesterday with Terry & Dan B. about Jay being "disinterested" down the stretch Sunday...
