Ok so I’ve been busy. Sort of busy. I have some excuses. They’re all terrible. I’m in mourning for the Bears. I had to go to a wedding on Saturday. I have to write three new tunes by New Year’s Eve. I ran out of gas. I was the center of a congressional investigation. I had epic gas.
Anyway, let’s not forget to memorialize our Week 47 Winners, the two mysterious airline pilots that were so distracted by their computer activities that they managed to miss their city by about 90 minutes. Congratulations, douchebags, you’re entered into the quarterfinal.

The parents of this dead kid: Douchebag nominated a Montana family for suing Louisville Slugger because their bat was used by a batter, who lined a shot right off their son’s melon, killing him. The beef is that the product is not found to be faulty, and the kids were using it properly. This is an unfortunate incident, but is Louisville Slugger really at fault for this freak accident? Were the parents just looking for a payday? Vote!
C_Howitt_Fealz: Normally, I wouldn’t consider a thread with only 10 replies but this one is classic. ChgoSportsFreak nominated our favorite in-house 3rd world traveler for Douchebag for blowing his wad a bit early on the search function fix. It’s bad enough that he was apparently only searching for the word “moondick” almost exclusively, but then he posted in 10 sections that it was fixed. Moondick indeed. But does Fealz earn the prestigious honors this week? It’s up to you.
Idiot wrong number callers: Boilermaker Rick nominated all those people who make the big mistake of dialing a number incorrectly. People who disturb him unnecessarily are straight up evil, stupid, fat fingered bastards who deserve nothing less than a slow death, or douchebagging. But could it be that Rick is just a short tempered pud? Is it possible that the phone system could somehow accidently route a caller to his location, or is it possible that someone other than the caller provided faulty intelligence? It’s all up to you, voter.
North Haters: Mike North brings out a lot of emotion in people. Some just love him to death, but it seems that there is a growing majority of people that are enjoying the fall of one of the founding fathers of Sports Yak in the city. rogers park bryan nominated you, the Mike north hater, for Douchebag of the Week. Although he thinks North is a washed up bullshit artist, you shouldn’t be rejoicing in watching him squirm his way thru the rejected rich contract, the Fade Me debacle, the webio crash and burn, and the failure of Monsters In the Morning, the only show in history turning a solid profit that’s been cancelled for its costs. Some say North deserves it. Others think he’s just a pitiful shell of his former self. But, is enjoying the fall douchebag worthy? Your call, CSFMB.
Stagecoach17: Irish Boy and Big Fan both fired both barrels at this guy, and he managed to do all this in like three posts. Amazing. He wouldn’t be the first guy to piss people off with his inappropriate comments, but to do it so quickly and efficiently was simply staggering. I missed it myself but I understand that he may have inappropriately targeted a family member of a local radio show. We do have a code here at CSFMB, family is off limits unless you’re Frank Coztansa picking on the Brand’s wife. But this one must have been particularly low, as even Mac felt the need to address it. Well, CSFMB has spoken, Stagecoach is done, goldendomered faster than any other poster I’ve seen in 4 years. Will he garner your vote this week?
