Garrett Wolfe will be out several weeks with a lacerated kidney. Now would be a perfect time to bring in Larry Johnson to see what he can do backing up Forte.

We will take a look at our 45 man roster and practice squad and go from there.

Bears don't like expensive outsiders when they can bring in "just a guy" type of RB off the street.

The SCORE's Hub Arkush has been very adamant about the Bears' lack of depth at running back, and has been surprised that the team hasn't given those unemployed an opportunity to at least see what they have left. I don't know if the Chiefs' just released Larry Johnson has anything left in the tank after he was officially released today. Hub said no about a week or two ago, and so do I.

I won't agree to Larry Johnson being reformed until Tony Dungy tells me he is.

That is a great 20's style mob mug shot. Old school thug league approved. Your current one is still creepier IMO.

What a great idea. While we're at it, let's also go get Mike Tyson, Stephon Marbury, Rick Telander, and Steve Dahl - let's completely fill the lockerroom with as many different kinds of washed-up malcontents we can possibly find.

I'll tell you what's creepy ... it's the fact that the dude looks like Edgar Stiles from 24.

I was going more with an opposing "murderee" figure, rather than a similar "murderer" type.

I'm sensitive like that.

TJ Duckett would be the perfect addition to the Bears RB corps. He is a beast of a back similar to Brandon Jacobs, & he would be a good change of pace guy.
I really think the Bears are afraid to bring in another RB who will upstage Forte.

At this point, anybody is better than Matt Forte, Scorehead...

That is exactly why the Bears won't bring in another RB, for fear that the new guy will outplay Forte, thereby making yet another Angelo top draft pick bust worthy.

No.

The biggest problem is the damn offensive line. And, no, before some dope states it, it is not the same line as last year - it's different personnel, and they're all one year older/slower/worse.

If the Bears can get rid of a guy with off the field problems, why not try to do the oppo of the Ced Benson thing and bring one in. Bring LJ in with behavior clauses in his contract, as well as incentive laden clauses. Also make it clear that he can't do any twittering. I think it's worth a shot at this point, depending on his what was left on his contract after he was released. How does all of that work? IB?

I know that the other issue is his injury problems. I don't know, give it a chance. What have you really got to lose?

Doubt they will but I would not be opposed. A one year deal to split carries with Forte and give us a 1-2 punch.

Never happen.

Can Larry Johnson play cornerback or Oline and play them well?

If not, Bears don't need him.

How about giving Jason McKie some handoffs at the HB position with an extra OT at the FB positon to block for him. THEN RUN UP the MIDDLE!

They had 2 all year. Garret Wolfe is not a halfback.

I have no objection to working these guys out. Maybe someone breaks out, maybe someone is pushed a bit - what could it possibly hurt except for Angelo's ego?
