You knew that when FOX decided to temporarily shelve "Dollhouse" for the November "sweeps", you'd get the feeling that it was only a matter of time before the network would cancel the underwatched series from the mind of Joss Whedon. According to E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos, that day has arrived.

Despite miserable ratings from the getgo, many TV insiders were surprised that FOX renewed the Eliza Dushku series for a second season. According to Kristin, the underwatched series got its cancellation notice yesterday. The remaining 13 episodes will air in two-hour blocks when it returns to the FOX schedule Friday, December 4th. Back-to-back eps will air on three consecutive Fridays, December 4th, 11th & 18th. The remaining eps will be burned January 8th & 15th with the finale January 22nd, closing the doors on "Dollhouse" for good.

Fox just likes to dick with Joss is the vibe I am getting now.Angel was top rated show and growing viewers when they axed it and now this. Joss should stick to his gunns this time and never deal with these asshats again.

I cared . It had good script, Elizha, people from BSg and it had Amy Acker on it what more could you ask for?

I watched Dollhouse once after an episode of the Sarah Connor Chronicles and hated it. Surprised it lasted as long as it did. I do wish that the SCC would either come back to Fox, or get picked up by another network, maybe even SyFy for all I care.

Jack, forget it. Kristin added in her story at E! Online that SyFy bosses aren't interested in reviving "Dollhouse", even though they air another Eliza series "Tru Calling", which also didn't last long in 2004.

That's great SHARK, except I don't care if Dollhouse comes back or not. I want the Sarah Connor Chronicles to come back.

That is typically a prerequisite to something coming back, SHARK.

Jack, FOX bosses tried to turn Friday nights into where you'd find ass-kicking females such as "TSCC" & "Dollhouse". Unfortunately, it didn't work out that way as ratings for both shows were miserable.

SHARK was talking about 2 action shows that were on briefly on Friday nights, but both were ratings' flops.

Yep - it seems like it has been forever since the last episode too. But thankfully it's only been a week.

Shark - you mean Dollhouse right? I think you need to check your sources.

Jack and I have been watching and tweeting about this show for months now.

It's been on every week.

I don't know Doc. I've heard that aliens have been living among us for 20 years now, so I guess it COULD be possible...

Guys, "Dollhouse" returns December 4th with back-to-back episodes. Tune in while it lasts...When FOX announced its fall schedule last May, "TSCC" was indeed cancelled despite a great deal of hype.

Shark is right.

On May 18, 2009, despite fan efforts,[3] Fox entertainment president Kevin Reilly announced Fox would not renew the show for a third season.[4][5] Bear McCreary said "At the last spotting session, I begged Josh Friedman for the answers to these questions, and he told me enough that I know season 3 would have been our best."[6] Josh Friedman said "Good shows are cancelled every year; smart shows, worthy shows...."[7] There are still several fan campaigns being held in order to "save" the show. The most notable of these is the mobile billboard campaign being run by the owners of the "savethescc" website.[8][9]

Shark, your slump is continuing.

Jack and I have been watching this show since Spring. How can it return when it hasn't been gone?

SHARK, Friday nights, known as the night before Saturday and Sunday, and popularized by ABC, also known as the alphabet network in the 1990's as TGIF was the place to watch such shows as Perfect Strangers, Family Matters featuring Steve Urkel aka Jaleel White, and Step By Step featuring the Lind Hogan looking Suzanne Sommers. Summers also starred in in the classic Three's Company, and once removed her clothes for Playboy magazine which features naked women in it's glossy pages. Nowadays, Friday nights are known as the place TV shows go to die.

Dr. Ken this is the coolest website ever.

I just read that she is also going to be doing a multi network crossover on Reaper on the WB! That show has kicked serious ass this season.
