Really? Because, all the wide receivers can do is get open. And they did. A lot. Over and over again, actually.

Remember how Cutler would hit those guys 30 yards downfield when Orton would always overthrow them?

How many more games would the Bears have won with league-average QB play? At least three, by my count.

The greatest part about all this is that so many people will have to say that they might have been wrong. I've already done it, although, in fairness, I also said that you were giving up a lot, Orton wasn't as bad as everyone made him out to be, and that it was a close call. Well, let's hear it, bandwagon jumpers. It'll feel great. "If I was GM, I would have made the same, shitty decision." No second-guessing on this one, like with everything else.

I wouldn't even be that pissed off if people would just admit that they were wrong. I get so sick of these Jake Blues explaining why he didn't show up at the wedding type posts on why what I'm watching is really good QB play. But people won't admit that, because this is one clear example where everyone was out front talking about how wonderful the deal was. The Recievers should have been more open, the 10 yd separation isnt enough . Cutler was terrible. The recievers got open all night.

I thought that one of the big advantages of the QB trade was that we'd be trading Purdue Big 10 slowness for pure Vanderbilt SECCC SPEEEDDDD. In fact I had that joke lined up all year and I haven't been able to use it. That disappoints me.

What is happening on this Bears team must be absolutely horrifying to Management and the ownership. Here they have traded away the farm for Jay Cutler and he is falling apart right in front them. They have also traded a second round pick for Gaines Adams and are not yet seeing an ROI.
