I know some of you do, I'm just curious to see how many of you do. From a lot of the posts I've been reading for the past few weeks, it sounds as if a majority of the bears fans here do...

For the Record, I'd do the trade again in a heartbeat, I would have even given more for Jay.

A few bad games this year does not make this trade bad. If this continues next year and beyond, then its a problem. 6-8 games does not make a trade good or bad. Was the Jake Peavey trade bad for the White Sox? Same deal there-- can't say for sure yet one way or another.

Don't regret the Cutler trade at all, but I'm with GD on the Gaines Adam trade. So far, that dude looks like a high schooler playing the pro game.

This team has no choice but to invest heavily in free agency this spring. Offensive linemen, early and often.

What people should regret are the years and years of #1 draft selections that the Bears have just pissed down their leg.

This. And the Gaines Adams trade.

Both are embarrassing.

Anyone who'd regret this trade thus far is either extremely short-sighted or just ignorant.

Ugh...right off the bat Mac says the Bears will come to regret the Cutler trade. Ladies and gentleman: everyone's favorite meatball!

Why, because they traded draft picks that they don't know what to do with anyway?

The trade wasn't made for this year; it would be irrational to judge the trade at this point.

Additionally, if they'd elected to initially change their PR machine to "we're going to build a winner around #6 - the hardest part of that winning team to acquire" and drove home that point, I don't think there would be as much pounding going on. But the Bears' M.O. is generally intellectual dishonesty to begin with, so the chances of being up-front with the consumer are next to nil.

Gaines is this year's Archelleta (I don't know if that's how it's spelled, but he doesn't deserve to have it spelled correctly anyway).

Not me. I can't believe anybody would say otherwise. I'd make that trade everytime no matter how this turns out. He is/was worth the risk.

You guys are right on the Adams trade.

I certainly regret the Orlando Pace signing a shitload more than I regret Cutler.

If we had a GM who knew how to draft, I would regret the second 1st round pick. I still say we overpaid.

Gaines Adams - not sure he was even worth a #4.

And Spaulding, it's Frank Ohmyfuckinggod.

I concur. I'll wait to judge until the Bears provide Cutler with an offensive supporting cast that could actually start for a pop warner team.

As long as Adam Jason Archuleta is hitting Jennifer Walcott, the man deserves to have his name spelled correctly Don Tiny!

What I'm regretting most right now are the Angelo/Smith contract extensions a few years back.

Who the hell is Jennifer Walcott?

Holy Shiite ... I agree entirely. I'll go write out AJA's name 100 times.

That's what needs to be getting press coverage. Good thing we have such fine reporters like Rick Morrisey who will, I'm sure, get to this topic soon.

The Bears ownership and management is too stupid to be intellectually dishonest.....they are just idiots....
This isn't the Tribune or Reinsdorf in the running a con on the consumer department....it is the idiot McCaskeys and their hired fools.

Dont regret the trade. I definitely wouldnt give up MORE though. Hate the Gaines trade especially since it was the teams highest remaining pick.

I dont regret it and dont think the bears will, but what cant you handle. You realize Cutler is playing terribly right? You cant just say he needs to play better. All bad players need to play better. That doesnt make him any better.

Sure Cutler is playing terribly...and his offensive line sucks and his receivers run patterns we can draw up on cocktail napkins at the corner tavern.

I can't belive everyone's for it. I'm for the trade if they

a) make Cutler stop throwing to Greg Olson in the red zone...
b) play Caleb H. against the Vikings so we have Cutler to talk about next season period.
