"How couldn't you vote for the guy after how well things have gone for the last twenty years?"

I guess rampant corruption, and the fact so much money has been wasted that the city is bordering on broke and taxes are going through the roff are good thing. But hey, he has planted a lot of trees.

You're not understanding Mike North logic:

1. In the last twenty years, things have gone pretty good for Mike North. With no discernible talent, he's become a multi-millionaire radio/TV commentator and host in one of the nation's largest markets.

2. The world revolves around Mike North. If things are good for him, they should be good for everybody and if they're not good for you, it's because you're stupid or lazy or both.

3. Therefore, things are good for everyone who counts, so reelect all the politicians and let the good times roll!

Having the Idiot North as a fellow Republican is a source of great embarrasment for me.

I always found it odd that both North and Ditka were Republican. There are so many parallels between these two.
