Not being doom and gloom, but if they had to back out of a deal with comcast, a all sports station, i have my doubts about CBS2, which has been the worse news station in chicago the last 10 years being able to make something out of it. But, sometimes things work out, but if it is, it wont be in the time slot they have now.

You may well be right RV - I won't cry one way or the other as I don't really partake in morning tv - but I just feel that the potential could possibly be there for something a bit different.

I congratulate Mike. This might be just the vehicle to get him back on track since he most likely does not have production control. He will not have to concentrate as hard on sponsorship or production. He won't be talking about politics or current events. He will not even be required to carry the show. Mike will be back to doing what Mike does best, being a wild card sports talker.

I have no doubt you will see Jiggles with an associate producer credit and Be Be with a producer credit. Neither will have substantive input on the day to day production of the show.

Come on, 5am-7am, plus having to share the time with a terry savage and some other misfits, this is worse then the wildfire gig. Honestly, if I was in pappy shoes on this, i would have turned it down.

I suspect the show will be less then a hour old before terry savage asks someone if North is retarded, this indeed will fail faster then his last 3 "ventures". I am also willing to bet that more money is coming out of pappys pocket on this then cbs.

North's ratings history at the Score and Comcast, the colossal failure of Dontfademe, the Webio disaster, all the shit we've talked about here for years, etc., etc., etc. are all public knowledge and we all know these stories quite well, as does anyone in the industry who can read the English language. I can only conclude that these broadcast execs who keep giving this guy new shows are aware of something that we here don't know. There is some hidden magic to Mike North that mere mortals like us here on this board apparently can't comprehend, so I have come to the conclusion he is an absolute god--a divinity. There is almost a surrealistic, a religious aura, if you will, to this entire concept of Channel 2 approaching this turd after all this and saying, "Yeah, you're the man, be our morning guy." If CBS lets North talk about anything but sports, they are asking for trouble, that is his track record. Again, Pappy is good at talking sports when he is directed and has 0% input on the production of the show, anything else, his track record over the last 6 years speaks for itself. Anyone can get a job, his rep is just now that he is a short term guy, nothing more.
