I know Shark usually reports on the media, but how about the one with Peter Gammons.

I got this from awfulannouncing.com, where they reported he was leaving ESPN, and like a half-hour later, rumors surfaced about MLB network, and now there true.

Gammons will be going to the MLB network.

I would say a loss for ESPN and a nice gain for the MLB network.

Before I even provided the link in the MLB Thread, I remember Peter Gammons had health issues, and missed several "Sunday Night Baseball" games this past season w/ESPN to recover.

Actually, I don't think Dick Clark and Peter Gammons have the energy to host a "New Year's Rockin' Eve" or any New Year's Eve celebration for that matter...That explains why Ryan Seacrest has been doing the heavy lifting on Dick's show the last couple years on ABC and why it'll likely be that way again this year...
