russell is doing the smart thing right now staying out of the spot light. interesting he didn't even bid on the food.

but i thought it was funny that dude was like "no one is gonna vote me out because of pie" and...heh...that's exactly what russell said offended him.

good stuff.

Loved the fact that Russell whipped out the idol before the 2nd Tribal Council last night. That was great. It was like he was in a "show off" contest with Milton Berle, and he showed just enough to win, or in this case, stay alive another week.

Dave looked like a clown (literally with the hair and figuratively with the utterance "Awesome) when they showed him on the jury. That kid who won immunity the second time is totally flying under the radar. I know pretty much nothing about him.

I was thinking the same thing when he won it again.

So will Russell be able to make it to the end? And if so, does he get the votes on the jury to win it?

Your question represents what I love and hate about this dumb show. Based on the way Russell's played the game, I think he should win. Easily.

However, the people on the jury get all high and mighty about how so-and-so lied or how so-and-so flew under the radar, etc. It's a freaking game, you idiots, and Russell has played it ridiculously well, in my opinion. But watch, the fact that he outwitted the numbskulls on the jury will come back to bite him. I've never understood this dynamic of the show. Tip your cap to the guy and move the hell on.

i don't know, ed--usually juries give credit to the snakes as much as they don't want to. it's the hangers ons that get completely torched. it happened to amanda (twice) and it happened to the loser last year, too. just when you think you're nice enough to get by or quiet enough...everybody finds your flaws and completely fleeces you at the final tribal.

i think if russell makes it to the finals, he wins easily. yeah people will give him shit but they'll still vote for him.

only wild card though is that everyone seems to know now that he's got money.

I think people are so wrapped up with the game of Survior and holding it to this higher than high standard that people would vote Russell no matter if he said he was Bill Gates rich. I think the jury, more times than not will vote for the person they thought played a better game.

Why did Russell tell them about his money?

I know they showed Russell telling M I C K that he had money for some reason. Maybe he was just being to cocky. I dont think it was a good idea at all though.

He let his guard down, and told Mick.

It was intentional. Who wouldn't want to take a millionaire to the final 2? I believe there was another rich guy who basically lost because he "didn't need the money". I don't remember which season it was.

If Russell gets the to final two and I was his opponent I'd say "Russell played a great game but so did I and I actually need the money". I think this is exactly Jaison's plan.

Jaison's winning this thing as soon as Mick and the other guy are gone. Shambo, blond girl, and Russell aren't beating him in an immunity challenge.

yeah but you know what...i think that the sympathy thing actually gets you in trouble. you can't come right out and say you need the money. the whole point of the show is that everyone needs a million dollars. even though russell *doesn't*, i agree with chris that they'll give russell the vote because of how he played the game.

besides, if it came down to him and jaison, jaison didn't play the game as well as russell did. even if he needed the money, you never get sympathy votes in survivor.

Most of the time though, it's been "I need the money more because I'm almost homeless". This time, it's "I need the money more because Russell makes double that every year." If anything, it only helps Russell because I am sure that there are many people who think this strategy will work. I don't really see how it hurts them. I don't see them voting him out because he claims to be rich. However, we've seen people attempt the "I need the money" strategy in the final two.

Russel still looking good!

Normally I don't like it when people get cocky and don't use an immunity idol, but last night was pretty funny and he was completely right, no one had the balls to vote him out last night and take the chance that he would use it.

The way he's playing he is making it virtually impossible for anyone on the jury to not vote for him if he makes it to the final two. You would have to be a complete and total loser/hater to not give this guy your vote the way he's played.

I lost a ton of respect for Natalie last night. I really thought she was playing an airtight game, but she showed some big cracks in the foundation with all that jesus crap.

Can't wait till Sunday! Should be interresting to see if the rest of the finally smarten up and band together and get rid of Russel. Might not happen since there are still so many physical challenge threats left in the game to target.

I hope that getting rid of Shambo doesn't come back to haunt Russell. She was an easy vote. I would have hung on to her one more week to make sure I got rid of at least one of those two guys.

we'll see. i don't think it was a total dealbreaker for him but he's still gotta get to the finals, and he's gotta have a huge target on his back now that he can't use the immunity idol.

like shakes, cannot wait for this finale.

Finale on tonight. Who do you think is going to win? I want Russell to win because he is the one that deserves it the most for the awesome gameplay. I think the little blonde girl might win it though, if Brett is not in the final 3. People dont like Russell but you have to give it to him because of his outstanding gameplay regardless if he doesnt need the money.

I think he was too honest when he laid out all that he had done, and to who.

I think he deserved to win, but the jury wasn't exactly made up of a bunch of mensa members.

Looking forward to the Villians vs. Heroes all star season. Russell has to be one of the villians!

typical reality show bs, a bitter jury refuses to vote for the person who played the game the best. If you've seen it once you've seen it 100 times.

Russell looked like he was going to cry the whole time after Natalie won. Bullshit winner made up of bitter jury members.

He perked up when he won the $100,000 fan choice for best player. I loved it when he acted like he was going to give Jaison a pair of socks to make up for the ones he burned, only to burn them as well.

I hated Russell in the beginning of the season and by the end I was rooting for him to win, and I was really pissed when he didn't. I agree he didnt have to be such a dick about things and overly cocky, but damnit any other season he would have won hands down. I think this season just had too many more assholes on the show.

Listening to Erik during the jury was laughable. He was smiling and happy every time Russell orchestrated a former Galu member's ouster. And then he says he respects Natalie for playing an "honest and moral game"??

Russell should have won. This season was so rigged to me. But none the less entertaining. Next season Villians vs. Heroes should be entertaining as well. I hope Survivor gets a celeb version before it dies.
