Also loved the open today ripping on the chicken touting Slappy. Mac suggesting bringing a bloody Mary bar to Slapnuts house was funny.

Agreed. Nothing says great radio like an inside joke that three listeners get.

Very well produced and Pants has a fantastic voice. The lyrics rhymed and it made sense, but it still didn't have the LOL payoff. There needs to be more of a body of work as well as anecdotes and other stories about Knox for it to be funny.

Nothing will ever compare to "Favorite Man Things". :P Seriously though, that was parody gold Doug.

WHAT? Really? Someone actually enjoys the Bearsmas crap? For the past couple of days I have tried listening to this show, again, and the Bearsmas stuff just seems horribly bad to me. Perhaps the only thing worse than the actual song is the back and forth "should we play it now ... can I get one more ... I need more ... you can't have more, you have to wait .... I need more, come on, one more today .... ok, should we play the whole thing, or just a new line" banter around it.

Then, of course, we're greeted with them laughing over the song itself - "needing" to replay it and McNeil BEGGING for more, and Meatpants scolding him like a child asking for something before he's supposed to get it.

Wow, if the consensus is that this Bearsmas garbage (and all of their "staple" parody work) is really funny/entertaining - well, my manometer needs calibration. Or, this show is REALLY not for me because I find this stuff to be nothing but embarassing (both the actual songs and their juvenile build-up and reaction to it).

I don't think there is any question that Russ Mitera has more talent than Danny (below 200 elbows) McNeil and Spiegel.

Sports talk radio is serious biz apparently. The songs are something different, funny and are breaking up the monotony of endless Bears/Tiger etc talk. Keep em coming I say

I have not been a fan of meatpants on this show, but I gotta say his parodies are usually pretty good and get a laugh out of me.

You're an idiot. Spiegel could cure cancer and you'd still post 25 times a week that he sucks. The dude can sing and the songs have been pretty good. Over done/played, probably but that doesn't make them bad.

Its Friday, and its Christmastime. Cheer the fuck up or go get a hooker or something.

Time for an original hit from the Mac and Matt studios!

When I put the band back together I would do it

That one will get him fired quicker than the Washington DC beaurocrat who used the word niggardly.

Better be safe and call him Vinny Smith...except the Bears had a decent LB in the 90's by that name.

I am quite certain I was the first member to use the above bolded word in context here.
Oh, and hey, genius, it's spelled bureaucrat...

This new 'Hossa' parody is way too fucking long.

Frank, you're right about the length of the Hossa parody. It is a marathon. I went back and forth on what to chop. We only killed one verse from the Kinks' original. The "walk-up" is only six seconds... and there were two six-second gaps for highlights. It runs 2:40 before the silliness takes over with repeating: HO-SA... HO-HO-HO-HO-HO-SA. Just felt the lyrics synced up so well, so deep into the song... I'd make an exception to "my rule" on a verse and a chorus. With Matt singing the way he does and the lyrics being funny enough, we went with it. Fear not... we won't be shoving the whole song in your ears much. Likely just using "the hook" after Hossa highlights, which means there will be plenty of chances as this guy is as good as advertised.
