I mentioned this scenario in another post. Taub takes the job on a 2 year contract for about 2 mil a year on the condition he keeps all the assistants (maybe dump Turner).
This way all it costs the McCaskeys is 4 mil extra. The fans might like the change since Dave consistently has a great special teams group out there. (despite some errors this year!)
The papers will compare it to the Ditka hiring & it might placate those who want to see change in Halas Hall. His resume is impressive & he has paid his dues with some long coaching stints. Can he be a great head coach? Who knows,but if the Bears want to go cheap,I would rather see him get the job instead of some other team's guy.
