No need to worry, Ike...Mac will be back in the New Year, along with Boers & Mully. It is the holiday season, you know. I have a feeling that the other SCORE regulars, namely Spiegs, Bernsy, LoHo & Hanley respectively, will be off next week themselves, likely paving the way for Goff, Drinky, Brian "The Whipping Boy" Paruch, Matt "The Dancing Fool" Rodewald, Mark Grote, Mike Esposito and other SCORE reserves to host shows on their own.

i suppose... the star radio hosts get more time off then anyone i know. they break in the winter for xmas for a week, they break in the summer for whatever reason i still cant fathome, and some like terry take a break nearly every day when he doesnt even put socks on- he just waddles over to his make-shift radio desk and tries to figure out the cues from dan without actually seeing him

I get the summer breaks. Most people take vacation over the summer; especially if they have kids. The near 2 weeks off in December doesn't make sense in sportstalk; as you have the playoff push for the NFL; and then you have the Bulls Coach watch in Chicago...

It's an unrated period, so they might as well empty the bench.

I completely understand this vacation. The one that didn't make sense to me was the one on like second week of the new show. That was an excellent way to squander the "newness" or "honeymoon" crowd. Oh and I didn't give a rat's ass on a personal level either.

Oak Park Vandy has been good whenever he's sat in on other Mac shows...In fact, he was on Mac's former station when Bruce Levine couldn't think of that Houston Astro and got caught in broadcast hell...

I used to like listening to drinky on Saturdays the last couple years I haven't liked it as much. I've never caught Goff.

Exciting about OPV. I've never heard him without Mac so this should be interesting. My ears will be glued to the radio Monday and I hope he is as great as always. I might start a thread about it or rent a plane and fly an I love OPV banner around Chicago.

If you don't like OPV that's fine, stupid, but I could accept stupid. I don't understand actual Score host as an argument. Who is an actual host? You want them to trot out Murph? Rosenbloom? ZZ? Their fill ins aren't that good. The only one I'd maybe want to hear is Paruch.

Never really got to hear the late lamented Last Call. Jason's a good host. Matt is good unless he gets agitated about something and talks too fast.
