You know Christmas is thisclose when TBS airs the annual 24 hour marathon of the 1983 MGM/UA holiday classic "A Christmas Story", now through 7p Friday. I can't imagine what "Ralphie" himself, a young Peter Billingsley in that movie, would look like today. I'm old enough to remember little Peter had a brief cup of coffee as a "correspondent" on "Real People" around the time this movie originally was released in theaters...

As a proud graduate of Ralphie's very own Warren G Harding Elementary I will happily take my fill of Hammond Indiana's sole claim to fame over the next 24 hours.

Sadly, the last time I was there the neighborhood doesn't look like it's changed too much from Ralphie's time.

I thought I read somewhere that there was an actual incident involving someone who stuck their tongue on a freezing pole, much like in the movie, not that long ago...

Peter Billingsley must be addicted to doing Christmas movies.

He's in Four Christmases and Elf also.

Don't mean to hijack the thread but Planes Trains and Automobiles is on TV Land right now.
