Would you trade Cutler to Washington for Jason Campbell, Washingtons 1st in 2010 and 2nd and 3rd in 2011?

Do you know something/have some inside info?

Campbell is an okay play but I think has struggled and not developed because of the coaching.

I would never trade Cutler.

Campbell is bad. Real bad. I assume you're basically asking if I'd trade Cutler for those picks?

Probably not. I doubt the Skins would either. Nobody in their right mind trades that many high picks for Cutler.

The fact that she's carrying his child.

I'm not one for potential but...Cutler has potential. I think he could be really special. I wouldn't give that away.

I'm not carrying his baby, I don't like him in that way. I like him in a completely platonic hey thanks for leading the Bears to a Lombardi trophy kind of way. I'm not attracted to him at all. Patrick Sharp on the other hand...

Yes. Yes, I would. In a heartbeat if it were a part of an entire team shakeup. But alas, with the same ownership cemented in place it's kind of a moot point.

I think it's football and business dumb to trade a young pro bowl QB you just made a huge investment in after 1 bad season and take pennies on the dollar. All of this for the right to have the same hole.

I think the Bear organization has been football and business dumb since the team parted ways with Jim Finks. What I also wrote is predicated on my (perhaps mistaken) belief that the Bears didn't pay much in the way of a big signing bonus to Cutler, just later day guaranteed $$. If so, I say cut your (potential) losses & start over...if a top down shakeup were possible. This team does nothing well & Cutler doesn't seem like the kind of player to build around &/or struggle through growing pains with. Hit the reset button.

As for the young "pro bowl" QB, he's making mistakes that Aikmann didn't make in his first few years in Dallas, that Plunkett didn't make in his stint in New England, nor even Steve Young in Tampa. His pro bowl appearance is seemingly more a factor of established pros not wanting to play in the game and his gaudy numbers overshadowing glaring deficiencies in much of his game. He was a pro-bowler in the much the same way a Washington National becomes an all star. By rule/default.

He's never won, he's never seemingly been much of a team leader & I predict with his pre-existing health conditions & the beating he has taken this year, next year may be worse. Especially given that I don't see a house cleaning/rebuilding coming for more than Turner(if that) to help him/anyone. If the Bears can (will) keep him, hopefully I'm wrong.

I understand what Spaulding is saying, but you can't say "never". I want to see another season out of Cutler. This season was a wash on so many levels its not even funny. Give the guy a clean slate next year and see what happens. If he has 20 INTs at this point next year, yeah you have to at least explore the posibility of trading him.
