Yeah....it's pretty bad.

He really doesn't bring anything original, unless you like trying to interpret what your radio host is attempting to say...

In fairness, Dan always lets me know what is happening at the end of the day.

Sometimes you just have to let him out of his cage. It's the humane thing to do.

You guys have a higher pain threshold than I do listening to any of the show today. I saw who it was today and immediately went to Pandora.

I'm listening to OK Computer on Lala (Let Down is an amazing song). Is Pandora better?

I can't even listen to Let Down.

Regarding Rongey/Hampton, Bernstein told us it was a rough decade, didn't he?

It's my understanding that it was supposed to be Dan Hampton and his regular partner from the Bears' pregame at Horseshoe Casino on "Touchdown Sundays", Hub Arkush, pinch hitting for Mac & Spiegs. Hub had a "family emergency" which explained why Mark Grote worked the first 2 hours of "The Mac Show" today and all 4 hours of "Mully & Hanley" with the Trib's Brad Biggs this morning. Chris "The Ranger" Rongey's assignment now is to build a bridge to Dan Bernstein & the Daily Herald's Barry Rozner at 1p today. I guarantee you tomorrow NOT one of the SCORE regulars works tomorrow on New Year's Eve and Friday on New Year's Day when NBC5's Matt "The Dancing Fool" Rodewald & the very durable Brian "The Whipping Boy" Paruch are scheduled to host "Me Shows" if you will in the late afternoon & evening Friday.

I actually haven't used Lala before. Pandora is great, you get 40 hours free a month and then it's 1$ for the rest of the month. I haven't found a band/song that it hasn't had and made a playlist around.

If I wanted to hear "Stuttering" John Melendez, I'd listen to classic Howard Stern...The Ranger ought to shut Hampton up and drive the "Mac Show" the rest of the way himself!

Peel back the layers of the Hamp onion and suckage is what you get...at the end of the day.

Tuned in for a second since Rongey was pairing with him and it was still unbearable.

I think Rosenbloom should be Boers' the 1st string vacation replacement if Goff isn't an option. They've got a good rapport and it comes through that Bernstein actually respects him.

Good God, man, I know I've been warned MANY TIMES (by many people) not to take shots at you but do you EVER read your posts and realize how CRAZY they look/read? Not even the douchiest marketing dude AT The Score would post the way you do ... just type the way a normal person would speak, it will come across a LOT less creepy/odd.

Anyway, I haven't read through all of the threads here but has anyone pointed out the classic awkward moment from this show this morning? I clicked on to the stream and kept on listening as I couldn't tell who was sitting next to Hampton - it wasn't until Hamp was questioned "do you keep in touch with Todd Bell ... Big Al Harris etc..." that I realized who it was (Grote). Dan replied that it would be tough to keep in touch with Todd for the last 8 years or so, as he was killed in a car accident. It's been awhile since I've heard, live, a moment that will surely be replayed by B&B's producers. Did anyone else catch this ... I'm pretty sure that a texter sent a message making sure that Grote recognized what "club" he had just joined.

http://www.670thescore.com/topic/play_w ... Id=4284074 - the awkward "do you keep in touch with Todd Bell" question was in this segment. After Hampton explained that he was dead and it was hard to keep in touch with him, Grote went on to tell people to cut him some slack as he had been up since 3am. It was an unexpected nugget as I tried to figure out who was sitting sidecar with Hampton.

Hampton also went on to explain that it might be "cumbersome" for Steve McMichael to be a Bears coach as he is tied up on Monday night @ Black Jack's. ;) Well done, Danimal.
