In honor of the Lions coaching staff I will not be wearing pants for this game. Roy is only going to wonder aloud that they should have scored 3 points in this game as the Bears (in a business like manner) dismantle the Motown streakers, 34-0

BEARSSS

Back to back bye weeks for the Bears to start the season. Kitna throws 4 picks. Look for Thomas Jones to have a 50 yard screen pass for a touchdown. It looks like the Lions D-line and line backers can be baited and I think Ron Turner will take advantage of that. Defense scores twice. Hester returns another one.

Bears 31
Lions 0

Do you all think the Lions offense is that good? That means Seattle has a better defense.
Nas flaw in your thinking, you see the Bears scoring 35 points...so you think the Bears offense is that much better than Seattle's O.
My pick is 13-3 Bearsssssss

Gooch, I agree. That's bad reasoning Nas.

Anyway, Bears win 23-16

Just no wide receiver screens...I get cold chills just remembering those wretched days.
I hope you're right about the Lion's D being baited into overpursuing. There are a couple of very good players on that front line. If our play action pass can put them on their heels, we have a good shot at winning this one.

Bears 23
Lions 10

I agree with you on that Nas. I did watch the game. I was referring to you saying that because someone had Detroit scoring a touchdown that that automatically means Seattle has a better defense. Seattle and Detroit could play 9 more times and the Lions probably get a TD in all of those games. It was just one of those games.

Grossman throws for TD, defense returns a pick, and Gould kicks 3 FG's.

i think if you put your keys in them, they could be considered "pants" at that point.
once the keys come out..........man pajamas.

What...the...hell? It's only the 3rd quarter, the Bears are up 31-7, and Grossman already has 4 touchdown passes with 2 to a tight end. Plus the defense is still playing great. I really don't know how to react right now but I'm enjoying every second of it.

BEARS

Man, not only a decent offense a good offense with this defensive unit. The rest of the NFC is shitting their pants right now. Did you see how hard the guys were hitting, this team should and will go to the super bowl. Yes those are cool aid stains on my collar.

Wow! Very close prediction.

The Bears fucking rule, and that's no joke.

Here's a prediction of my own:

Bears v. Colts Superbowl, Bears 21, Colts 14.

Thomas Jones has blown so far this season. While the blocking hasn't been great, he hasn't seen some holes that have developed. In the first half, for instance, he ran into a pile-up off the left guard when he could have had huge yards by bouncing outside the left tackle. I wouldn't mind seeing more of Benson at this point.

Mark Anderson and Danieal Manning have really opened my eyes. Both have incredible athleticism and seem to possess good instincts for the game. If I were Chris Harris or Alex Brown, I'd be pretty nervous about my future with the team.

It almost goes without saying, but Grossman's accuracy has been unbelievable. It will be interesting to see what he does against a more mature and imposing defense, but his throws have been elite-type stuff. For now, at least, I have an erexion.
