I think many Bears fans would like to see a Bear return to his roots as coach (like Ditka).

He ran Lovie's system when they had better players. He is a former Bear. He hasn't been here for 3 years.

He continues to do a good job in SD as well.

What does this mean? Why do you hate successful coordinators?

My definition of successful is way different than yours. I have the bar set a bit higher. The Vikes defense is ranked #9 in the NFL. They have drastically underperformed, given the talent they have on D, and Frasier is the same sleepy passive personality as Lovie. Do you really want Leslie Frasier as the new Bears head coach for the next 5 years? Please...no...just no...

Oh that's easy to explain. Rivera was a part of the 85 team; and in many fans eyes; that immediately makes him credible as phenomenal coach. Anything any member of the 85 team does; from brain surgery to radio commentary; the fans believe they can do no wrong.

Actually, Rivera had a much better Defense than the Bears current Defensive coordinator. And personally, I prefer his more aggressive style. Yea I know that Lovie blitzes more, but thats because he doesn't know what else to do. There is more to playing aggressive D than just blitzing.
The fact that Rivera can speak to the media without sounding like a fucking retard is an added bonus.

RPB, there is a line of people in the NFL who know a hell of a lot more than either you or i who want to hire Shanahan and pay him $10 Million per year.

That does not change the fact that he has one playoff win in 10 years. So stop playing like you like successful coaches. You are a meatball.

Thats one more playoff win than MacDaniels, Lovie, Jauron, or Wannstedt had when they were hired as head football coach.

Lovie has more playoff wins in the last 10 years than Shanny.

Who was the poster that said Frasier was the next head coach? Has he/she posted an update after these 2 wins?

Your right...I dont like successful head coaches. I prefer unproven fucks like the Bears have hired the last 3 times. WTF does "Meatball" have to do with this? There must be a lot of Meatballs in the NFL because there are a bunch of NFL guys who want to hire Shany.
Would you really rather keep Lovie rather than hire Shany???

I would love for my team to hire him, the only name out there I do not want the Skins looking at is Gruden can't stand him he reaks of loser.

Who do you think is the better head football coach, Lovie or Shany?
If you ran the Bears, and you could either keep Lovie or hire Shany, what would you do?
Keep in mind the head coaching career accomplishments of both guys...

I have stated many times on here I want nothing to do with Shanny. The guy has won NOTHING since Elway retired.

I think Lovie needs to be fired, but Shanny is not the answer.

One playoff win in the last 10 years...10 YEARS!

Are you that stupid? I have stated Lovie has more playoff wins than Shanny in the last 10 years and that Shanny is not the answer if Lovie's fired. Lovie is the better coach which is not saying much.

Who cares?
One guy had a history of a lot of talented players while with Denver and the other guy coaches JERRY FUCKING ANGELO'S DRAFT PICKS.
How would BLOWHARD DITKA, certainly a hero of yours, do with this current bunch of idiot Bears?

LOVIE SMITH IS A BETTER HEAD FOOTBALL COACH THAN MIKE SHANAHAN???

Why would you choose to ignore the rest of Shanahans career head coaching accomlishments, beside that it hurts your position.

Do I need to repost Shannys career coaching accomplishments? You might want to review Lovies while you are at it.

I'll refrain from making this personal & calling you names.

Lets read this again..."Lovie is the better coach".

Wow...

Hey JohnKirk, would Lovie have won the superbowl with Denver when Elway, Davis, Sharpe, and a great OL was there?

Why have you decided to use playoff wins as your barometer for success?
Why not use Super Bowl victories?

And why only consider Shanahans record for the last 10 years? Maybe because if you considered his last 11 years he has 4 playoff wins & a Super Bowl victory. I mean its easy to pick & choose your stats, but its not very fair.
