IB has said Harbaugh too. Why?

I'm a huge fan of Harbaughs coaching style & philosophy. The guy is a natural born leader & yes, he has plenty of fire & passion. I watched 4 or 5 Stanford games this year & this guy can coach. He grew up around the game & has been a winner at every level. He is the hottest coach in D1 college football right now & he wont be at Stanford much longer.
When Stanford played USC this year, he ran the score up on Pete Carrol which gives Harbaugh additional bonus points in my book...& he went for 2 when leading big near the end of the game in an attempt to score 50 points.
Even more strange & entertaining though was when he called the old Michigan power running play 14 times in a row during the USC game. Bo would have been proud!
If you don't like excitable coaches who are all over the sideline high fiving & butt slapping then he's probably not the guy for you, but he is an incredibly intelligent guy & his success at SD State & Stanford is garnering him a lot of national attention.

Here are a couple of links to stories about Harbaugh & the buzz about him as a head coach.

Since when does going 8-5 and losing your bowl game make one the hottest coach going?

Do you know anything about Harbaugh, or are you merely arguing because I like him? You dont know a fucking thing about Harbaugh.
Read the links I attached to a previous post to learn a little bit more about him & why he is sizzling hot right now as a head coach. This guy is gonna land an NFL job within the next year or 2 & failure isn't an option for him. The guy is a winner & master schemer & strategist.
All good coaches lose games. He lost a bowl game...BFD. Every good coach has. But Harbaugh has re-built to terrible college football programs.

Did you watch any Stanford game this year? Did you watch any SD State games when Harbaugh was their head coach? You have no fucking clue why you dont like him other than I do.

aside from the fact he's only doing this on the college level. NFL's a different animal altogether.

I think the bottom line is Lovie has coached subpar talent the last 2 years. It's a miracle they have a .500 record. Maybe the Bears should get a new GM who gives Lovie 1 year to right the ship.

Click on the links that I sent to read about Harbaugh & who thinks he is the hottest head coach prospect. To be honest, it would be difficult for anyone who follows football to not have heard the hype & buzz about him. There isn't another D1 head coach who's star is rising faster that Jimmy H's.

I read the articles and it is still funny. Hype is just that...hype. Like I said, I like him and maybe one day he will be a good NFL coach.

Name all the D1 head coaches who have came to the NFL in the last 20 years and were successful?

What? Lovie lost 3 games last year the Bears should have easily won, & a couple this year.
Nearly every week someone on the TV announcing crew makes a comment about how the Bears have underperformed & how they didn't meet expectations. Lovie did "discover" Devon Aromoshadu though!
Allright...I'm done here tonight. I'm supposed to be working on my 2010 sales budget!

There's a lot of competition...you've got Kraft, Swanson, & Armour among others.
The 2% sales margins are a bitch!

Jim Harbaugh would be an absolute disaster as an NFL coach. Beating Pete Carroll is looking like a less than impressive feat every passing season. And how did Carroll do in the NFL? Harbaugh had a 6-3 conference record in a league that lost 4 of 5 bowl games.

Bobby Ross, Steve Spurrier, Bobby Petrino, Dennis Erickson, John Mackovic, Nick Saban, Ray Perkins, Lou Holtz, Dick McPherson, Butch Davis and Mike Riley all made successful leaps from the NCAA to NFL, eh? Tom Couglin, John Robinson and Jimmy Johnson are the only exceptions I could think of, and Johnson certainly had a lot of help because of one Herschel Walker. He didn't win anything in Miami with an over-the-hill Dan Marino and stud running backs like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

Why does anyone believe Rivera would be a better head coach than Lovie? There's no evidence of this either way. Shanahan is not a coach who gets the most of the talent given him, neither did Gruden, who had loaded teams in Oakland and Tampa Bay (yes, he won a Super Bowl, but so could've many other coaches with the early '00s Bucs). In contrast Holmgren often got blood from a stone in Seattle. I'd like Cowher as a coach but I'm more interested in his football operations cohorts.
