April 5th- 213 lbs- ultimate goal 200 lbs.

First time I have been on a scale in about a year. I knew I had put on some weight because I had to buy new pants. I just didn't know how much, good god.
I have put on about 35 pounds since I quit smoking a little over two years ago. I had been around 200 since I was 18 yrs old and now here I am in my late twenties almost 240 lbs. Hell, I just hope I can lose some. I have never been on a diet in my life. Good luck to all.

Edit - I'm 5 foot 9 and a half inch - goal weight is 220

For those of you looking to lose weight, I highly recommend the "Lose your job and spend two sleepless and stressful years finding another one" diet. It took me from about 220 down to 185.

Of course, now that I have had a job for two months, I'm already back up to 190.

I'm at 221. For the April deadline, anything under 205 is acceptable. Eventually I would like to get to 185.

Started the program last night by getting rid of the Pepsi and going with Pepsi Max. Got on the treadmill for a half hour last night and thought I was going to die. It's amazing how much cardio you lose in a year's time. Last year at this time I could run a mile in about 7.5 minutes. Was somewhere near an embarassing 10 minute mile last night. Pathetic.

I'd like to get down to 200 by the deadline and 185 there after.
