You mean Orton, right?

You would be right. Without looking it up, I want to say Orton had like 160some pass yards on the day, and that last TD pass was 75 or 80 yards.

Kyle Orton finished with 243 yards passing that day.

no, he ended up with 240-something yards, so he must have had in the neighborhood of 150. that is not very good, but as i mentioned in the earlier post, he didnt fuck up forcing the ball and he kept his team close enough where the miracle won the game.

im not an apologist for orton, he isnt in my top 20 guys id want to qb my team, but i give him his due. he has been solid if unspectacular for the broncos.

You might be surprised at how quickly the list turns rancid when you try listing that many QBs.

I like Orton. I think he would have been a disaster on the Bears this year but he is a starting caliber NFL QB. He had an incredible string of luck in the first half of the season when the Broncos were good. I think he has been very good in the second half when his team has been average. I have no explanation for it but as I said much earlier, the Broncos as a team have had a recent history of second half of the season fades.

The "No question Id rather have this guy than Cutler going forward" list
Manning
Brady
Brees
Rodgers
Rivers
Manning
McNabb
Romo
Rothlisberger
Palmer

The maybe list
Ryan
Flacco
Young
Stafford
Sanchez
Quinn

The "too old so Ill take Cutler going forward" list
Favre
Warner
Hasselback

The "no thanks Ill still take Cutler" list
Garrard
Smith
Campbell
Fitzpatrick
Orton
Delhomme
Russell
Henne
Bulger

So I guess to me he's about the 18th or 19th best qb going forward

McNabb to the Too Old list.

Ryan to the I'll Take list.

Quinn? Maybe? Yikes.

Yeah, really. There's some people that would take Jason Campbell or Alex Smith over a lot of pretty decent QBs.

Re: that Cincy/Orton game, he must have had 160 yards before that last TD pass.
I stand by my original statements regarding that one.

McNabb has a few good years left I think but thats a good point

Ryan I guess

As far as Quinn

On this I judged it solely by how they played against the Lions

Quinn 4 Td's
Cutler 2 Td's

I have a slight ND bias
I also forgot to put Claussen on the take list

I believe you are setting a record for the amount of times not understanding a point.

The whole point is that Jason Campbell and Alex Smith aren't very good! I'm not sure how many times I need to explain this to you. They are used as a frame of reference because one was almost out of the league and the other is probably going to be looking for a new team next year.

I'm sorry Frank. I don't mean to come off as a jackass but your comprehension on very basic points is becoming increasingly frustrating.

I think Ryan and Flacco both should be moved up. Otherwise, a good list.

I'd rather have Clausen than Quinn. Quinn is done. He sucks. I wouldn't waste a top ten pick on Clausen but a middle to late first round pick would be well worth it.

I guess we'll see. Quinn did have the advantage of sitting on the bench for almost 2 full years.

Id say that advantage is neutralized by the Organization he's with.

That's true. They did trade up to get him for no reason when he was freefalling in the draft.

For what it's worth, Suzy Kolber just stated that in talking with Ron Jaworski who watched all of Cutlers interceptions that Cutler was responsible for 22 of the 25 interceptions thrown this year.

Favre said at the beginning of the telecast that "he does not like to talk much"

Am I missing something? You are mocking the trade because Denver missed the playoffs, when they finished with a better record than the Bears and the majority of the trade on their end was built for the future?
