Yeah, I guess. So the big deal is that he doesn't like meatpants? That's like his biggest posting thing right?

Zack hit part of it. He is an ignorant hypocrite. He continually gets things wrong. He repeats things others say that is wrong. He posts things that guys on the radio say that is wrong. He gets all high and mighty if anyone calls him a name and proclaims how he would not do that, but it is perfectly acceptable for him to call a group of people not on the board burritos or call a radio personality a DB or dope. The list could just go on and on and on

Dude, you sound like an old lady. You spend more time posting about my thoughts than you do posting yours. Surely you must have some sports acumen that you want to share with others here...maybe not. If you're gonna call me out, then at least post the specifics of what I was wrong about. Show me the posts where I repeated things others said. You post your one liners but never have anything concrete to back up your criticism. If you want to debate a topic, you gotta either have some knowledge of the topic, or do some research. Your entire act on this board is to rally the troops against me. You should know by now that I'm not going to play that game. This is a place where it should be fun discussing sports. If you don't agree with my opinions that's fine, I'm not trying to change your mind. I respect everyone's opinion here. Well, almost everyone's. I'm not here to lurk & pounce on people with one liners. If that's all you can bring to the table then that's your problem. You spend way too much time following me around here & worrying about what I say.
Now go back & review my recent posts about NFL free agency, College football, coaches, whatever, & post the inaccuracies. Not merely my opinions that you don't agree with, but the factual inaccuracies.
I'll hang up & listen for my answer.
Happy New Year to you too...

No.You are making these allegations, so I am asking you to post the inaccuracies. Stand on your own two feet, not everyone elses. Your response is to try to rally the troops again. You know you cant find the inaccuracies so your hoping someone else will do it. You cant do it. All of a sudden you need everyone else to help you. If your buddies here dont bail you out, you dont stand a fucking chance debating me. Cant you think for yourself? Try it. Go ahead. Tell me what exactly I posted that was inaccurate. Ok...I'll give you one right off the bat. I predicted the Hawks would beat the Bruins because the Bruins had numerous injuries. I predicted the Hawks would win 4 - 2. Kane scored with two minutes left to give the Hawks a 5 - 2 victory. I guess that is the "blowhard prognostication" that W-Z mentioned...

First of all, Rex Grossman is a Quarterback and he plays in the NFL. So not sure what the hell you mean?

Here's your top 5 mistakes off the top of my head
Jon Gruden's offense
Division 1
Tommie Harris salary (about an hour ago)
Bears run a cover-2
Lovie never blitzes (youve since corrected this but originally wrong)[/quote]

And understanding D1 football divisions is pretty simple stuff. I think you are incorrect stating most fans dont understand how it works.

Gruden is a lifetime Offensive coach who would improve Cutler & the Bears offense.

Scorehead has been an easy target here. Many have engaged in mob rules and piled on just because it was the popular thing to do. It kinda takes me back to HS, when kids would pile on and pick on the dork in an effort to make up for their inadequacies.
In many ways, this place is like a High School in that regard.
And I must admit, I also behave much like I did in high school. I enjoy picking on the perceived cool kids and those with an over-inflated self worth. Both of which are not in short supply here. Which is why I am prone to drop in and entertain myself from time to time at the expense of others. There's much fodder for my amusement.

Scorehead is just alright with me, as are most of the rest of you. Those who aren't just alright with me know who you are...

the "goes for a cheap laugh" part of me wants to just call you scorestradamus but A) it takes too long to type out and B) it's not that funny.

a part of me wants to believe you don't take yourself that seriously, because i have seen you laugh at yourself (i.e. the DB of the week thing) but then you lash out about trivial things like the name calling thing.

I've been under the impression that Scorehead made a few early mistakes under another moniker. Since then he's been no more blowhardy or inconsistant or goofy than anyone else here. I know a certain very well regarded board member who "blowhardly prognosticates" that the Bears will win every game (and I'm not so sure that this is a bit) and no one really calls the guy a douchebag for it (nor should they). He also made some other odd prognostications regarding Grossman and Prior.
What was quoted here of scoreheards body of work seems a little meatbally to me but shit man, that's what we do here.
To be perfectly honest, I've never paid much attention to him. He's inoffensive, just kinda there.
I guess I haven't picked up on his trends.

I don't mind blowhard prognostications. I make hundreds of them and don't apologize when I'm wrong. It's the factual mistakes that bother me, and the insistence that he is right well after shown otherwise that has a very Elmhurstian feel to it. Like when he insisted that D-1 football doesn't include "the big boys". Even after he's shown to be wrong, he'll insist you misunderstood him. Even worse, if you try to have a debate with him, he'll constantly mistate your position. That's why the "John Kirk rule" came about. The typical thread goes something like this:

"Devin Hester has played decently at WR"
"Are you stupid? Hub says he's awful"
"Hub is an idiot. He's a solid starting WR"
"Oh, so he's a pro bowler then? You're dumb. No one in the world believes that Hester is a pro bowl receiver. That makes you stupid"
"I never said that."

***some unrelated thread three days later***

"Irish Boy thinks Devin Hester is a pro bowl wide receiver."

***some unrelated thread three days later***

"Irish Boy thinks Devin Hester is a pro bowl wide receiver."

***some unrelated thread three days later***

"Irish Boy thinks Devin Hester is a pro bowl wide receiver."

***some unrelated thread three days later***

"Irish Boy thinks Devin Hester is a pro bowl wide receiver."

So on.

I go back and forth with Scorehead. Occasionally he'll pull a decent post out of his ass, but most of the time I'm left shaking my head. One thing I give him credit for, he does stand up for himself. Even when everyone else know he's 100% wrong.

RFDC, Everything that you sited in your post about my inaccuracies were in fact opinions that I posted. Your beef with my posts was supposedly the errors in them. You disagreeing with my opinions is way different that pointing our inaccuracies in my posts. I like Shanahan, you dont. Thats not an inaccuracy. And you did exactly what I knew you would do...post everyone elses posts about me. It looks like you are the one reposting other people posts. I knew you couldnt pull this together on your own. Anyway, we'll agree to disagree.

Ill admit the high school analogy is apt but not in this case. Scorehead makes ridiculous absolute claims. On a msg board, thats gonna lead to this. I dont think hes a bad guy or anything. But when hes proven wrong and changes the subject, like Villanova Jim detailed, its annoying. Also, he uses the word "acumen" too much. I dont mind him, but the outpouring of sympathy is a bit much. Everyone here has a poster they like that most others dont. Mine are Seacrest and Kid Cairo. :D

Have a good weekend.

Just wondering... when Shanahan is eventually 14-18 two years from now, will you agree you(and everyone else) completely overrated him?

BTW, like I said, you're alright with me.
