I don't know, this is a trap game. If the Wizards come out with their guns blazin, we could be in trouble.

They can come out with guns blazin but if they aren't loaded than does it matter?

Someone thought that Sam Smith was the Bulls mouthpiece in an earlier thread. SS teed off on the Bulls during their halftime radio show tonight. He speaks for SS and only SS in my opinion.

Jamison can really pull the trigger. Thought for a moment there the Wiz had a win in their crosshairs.

as soon as rose came back from his ankle injury i thought he was going to have a slow start. i remember him slipping out "this is the first time ive had to come off a serious ... um this kind of injury" or something like that. i put two and two together and built my worm farm.

Where do you see me say that he can't? I've been watching him since he was a freshman in HS. He has taken over many games. That still doesn't mean he wouldn't rather defer than do it.

Alright, but I still think you are splitting hairs between "cant" and "wont". For a month now he's looked absolutely comfortable being aggressive when need be, but focusing on getting his teammates theirs also. A selfish PG is terrible. Rose is progressing very well in learning when he needs to take over.

I want him to be selfish sometimes. The players with "it" usually are.

There were many games last year where I wanted him to take the shot but he would give it to Ben.

Yes sometimes. And sometimes he is. It's called knowing when to take over, like I said. Nash and CP3 are great at it. Rose is developing in that aspect better than anyone could have hoped. PG is the hardest position to learn, and he barely has over 100 games under his belt.

Of course. Ben was and still is a much more proven go to guy in crunch time. He was a rookie PG coming in learning the most difficult position in the NBA, and also under alot of scrutiny and pressure. Im guessing he didnt want to look like a selfish ballhog and step on anyones toes, especially considering Ben had earned the right at that point and time to say "Give me the ball, I'm gonna make it."

When you are the future of the team I say fuck Ben. They didn't respect him enough to make him a captain. I do believe he is turning the corner. That's why I wanted Ben to go but early in the season he was leaning on his Salmons crutch.

I agree about last season but you gotta think about it from Rose's POV. Vinny probably wanted to keep his job, and he knew that for last year alone, Ben taking bigger shots would be more beneficial for the team's success that year than Rose taking them. The plays were probably drawn up for Rose. Rose doesnt seem like an asshole. He probably was still just trying to learn the NBA game, and knew that Ben would be a good crutch and a proven crunch time guy. To me, it would have been better for Rose and the team long term if Rose was more selfish late in games last year, but it's easy to understand why he wasn't.

This year, it was clear to me when I was able to watch the games that Rose was hurt. His game is built on speed, quickness, etc. An ankle injury is terrible for that. It made him limited in what he could do and indecisive. Since it's healed, there's been a dramatic turnaround. It's not just one or two games. He's consistently played very well since the Atlanta game that he took over about a month+ ago.

i dont think rose had the confidence in his shot to take big shots last year. shit i didnt want him taking big shots last year. he didnt have the best jumper. this year his jumper looks much better and he seems ok with taking it whenever he wants. plus hes driving to the basket with much more regularity now that hes developed that tear drop. he is learning to be that takeover player
