we got the usual Hoops problems...Hiawatha is a possibility but Westchester is a complete no-go now...they double booked. I will update on Monday...

Here's a thought (I brought this up tonight at the show to a couple peeps) - I can a get us a nice, >free< gym on any Saturday/Sunday we would want to play:

But...............

Wait for it...............

It's located in that town that starts with a "J".

You guys let me know. We could do it for Hoops VI. If that's not a problem, we could do this way more often in "my gym" in J-town, for free. I could also get a couple extra guys to play each time of we played there.

That horribly racist name Regular Reader uses for the old Maxwell Street market district?

I say we do it. This way we can set up semi regular games. I have no problem (In my best Orlando Magic PA voice) TRAVELING to play so long as we're guaranteed that we could get some good games in.

Yes. Unless you'd rather fly to Juneau?

In terms of area, Juneau is over 8 times the size of New York.

No on Hiawatha, no on just about every other Chicago Park District gym. Vince, you may want to throw this event a little further ahead, unless you have other options...

I can get my place if everyone is willing to drive that far. Located just south of I-80 on Rt. 53 (right next to the race tracks) in Joliet.

Maybe people could Mapquest the route from where you live to the Joliet Race Tracks just to see how far of a drive it is? I just don't want to set it up and then have nobody show up because they don't want to drive that far?

Joliet might be faster even if its more miles. For the people coming from way out west, it would probably be quicker to take 355 south than it would be to take 290 or something into the city?

I'm fine - I am not scared of big bad Joliet.

I'm in depending on the time. If we push the event to the middle of Feb, I can probably get more board peoples...

Yes. Like I said, it can become a regular thing (for free) if people are willing to make the trek south. You should come and you can stop at Chicken-N-Spice and buy the whole store and bring us some chunks.

It would be in the afternoon - we are hosting the IESA regionals in the morning on 1/30.
