I don't think anyone wants the OC and DC jobs because they know they'll have their hands tied. Offensively, not much is going to change unless they get some better linemen and receivers. Defensively they need to forget the Cover 2. Lovie and Angelo still have making the Super Bowl on their resumes, but if you think about it was a complete fluke and the team was exposed for what it was in the Super Bowl.

i'm irritated that there has been no news of how the Chudzinski interview went. i would not have let him leave the building without a deal.

According to the Tribune, he's not coming to Chicago. This is good news. Then again, Mike Martz seems to be the last man standing.

Nothing involving martz coming to chicago is good news, unless you are part of the MN and GB defense.

I certainly didn't want Dipshitski here. I don't want Martz. But I'm not sure who we can get for one year.

I still would like to know where jim zorn is, he was a good qb coach in a good system that got sidetracked into that whole washington mess, he would still be a good OC candidate

There is one man that might take the OC job:

Just think of the possibilities. He would take the spotlight off of Lovie and ignite passion's not seen in this town since his ill-timed dismisal!!

Do we know that we offered him the job?

Why did he interview for it if he didn't want it? That doesn't make sense. Sounds like we didn't offer it.

You don't turn down a job for a position you chose to interview for when you have no other current options.

The Bears will hire someone from the Colts or Saints staff to be the new OC.

I got to figure, the OC basically does what he wants. Lovie's not exactly an offensive genius. He's got Jay and wants to run the ball! Why? So his D can rest between series...

In all honesty, it was a great situation for Turner for several years.

Bears have got FAIL written all over them, right now, and that doesn't go away until at least Lovie and Angelo go away.

Yeah, I get the "fuck-all-you-fire-and-passion-guys," but do you realize this city's only fuckin' Superbowl occurred with Ditka as coach? What's your solution?

Ever hear of the quote "the monkey driving the limousine"? 85 Bears: one of the greatest teams in NFL History. The most talented team in my lifetime. I guess you think Ditka was the driving force behind that title. Not the fact that the talent was amazing.

He sure showed his coaching prowess in New Orleans.

Ditka's biggest mistake was trading all his draft picks for Ricky Williams. He was a good coach for the Bears, but that 85 team should have been to another Super Bowl. The reason why no coaches (except for Lovie Smith) have been back to the Super Bowl with the Bears is that the front office of the team makes bad hiring decisions and doesn't hire coaches with experience.

You can play only one Super Bowl a season. :P

Yea. Same goes for Lombardi, Noll, Landry, Walsh, Parcells, Gibbs & Belichik. They had great players. The head coach had nothing to do with the teams success. :?

Hmmm.....and what's the difference between every one of those names and Ditka?

And how about the gig with the Saints? Notice you kind of skipped over that.

25 years later and people are still bringing this shit up. Amazing.
