+1

I loved when Walton was teamed with Steve Jones. Their teasing of each other made bad basketball actually entertaining.

This is a 50 win team at best, if they play defense.

If this team has no clue in their own end, they will be lucky to win 25.

I like when he "goes after" teams.

The Pacers have no cohesiveness on offense, no interior defense, How do they expect to win?

wow. Some of you liked Walton? He was AWFUL. Added nothing to the game other than giving Snapper constant material to work with. Sometimes they just paired him up with a PBP, and it was Vitale-level bad.

Hands down the worst team ever was Costas/Isiah/Guokas. I believe they did the '98 Finals. Bob Costas wasn't "Mr. Basketball", Matt Guokas wasn't "Mr. Personality", and Isiah Thomas just sucked and had nothing to say.

Tough to beat that trio. I remember Magic's contribution to the NBC booth being quite brutal as well. On a side note, I know nothing could have saved the Magic Johnson show, but had Tommy Davidson; who SHOULD be a big star (Who doesn't love Strictly Business? Davidson's character had a boss named Waymon Tisdale, you can't make that up, even in a basketball thread. And screw Jim Carrey, he should've been hooking up his In Living Color brethren all these years.) been brought on sooner, the show could have survived a bit longer.

Sorry for the rant, but these are the things that keep me up late at night into the early morning. I'm a sick man.

Tommy Davidson loved getting high too much to concentrate on being serious about his craft. He was the anti-Jamie Foxx. And I hate Jamie Foxx but he busted his ass to reinvent himself, and he eventually did.

I'm not sure what was worse: the Magic Johnson show or the Keenen Ivory Wayans show. Both were cheesy and bad in my opinion.

I'll be damned if I'm gonna let anyone question the genius that is Tommy Davidson. Funky Finger Productions should be made into a movie right now. And after that I want a Davidson / Will Sasso team up. I don't care if it's a buddy cop flick or an Assassins remake with them taking the place of Stallone and Banderas. Make it happen Hollywood!

Don't get me wrong, I loved Tommy back in the day. His standup was awesome (remember his Black Freddy Krueger?) and one of my favorite In Living Color bits was "Sweet-Tooth Jones" the martial arts expert. But yeah, he was too druggy. Hell, he missed almost all of Season 4 because he was in rehab for the rest of the season. And the show needed him because that's the year the entire Wayans family walked out on the show midway through the season. Yes, I'm an In Living Color nerd.

You team up Sweet Tooth Jones and Dragonfly Jones as long lost brothers, now we got ourselves a movie.

This is getting closer to reality. It may soon be a debate even though I bet Chris Paul still will be considered the better choice.

No, they really dont.

hold on, that's not fair. There's a lot of stupid people out there, after all...
Yeah, some people think Shannon Brown and Rose are comparable.

Rick I expected Rose to have a breakout year. And since his ankle healed he has so far. But no, they are still not comparable. Paul is as good as Rose at everything Rose does(Rose might be slightly better at finishing at the rim), meanwhile CP3 has much better range on his jump shot, is miles ahead of Rose defensively, and can run a half court offense significantly better.

It's not a debate yet.

By the end of the year though, people will already start to debate it. Chris Paul may be really good but it's no longer one of those "Are you a moron?" things to think that the gap between them is getting small.

At worst, he'll be considered the second best point guard in the league by the end of the year.

Rose is bigger, stronger, a better jumper, and more explosive.

It's going to be close. Do you think if we polled the board and asked the question "Who would you rather have, Paul or Rose?" that everyone would vote for Chris Paul? I don't. There is a case that you'd rather have Rose.

Well you're doing this on a Chicago Message Board. They criticized me for saying Albert Haynesworth was better than Tommie Harris.

Rose does not have a better jumper than CP3. While it's improved, I would go as far as to say it's still not nearly as good. He could become the 2nd best PG in the NBA by year's end. He wont be as good as CP3, and it really wont be a tiny gap like it was with Duncan and KG 3-7 years ago.

Chris Paul has the better jumper. Derrick Rose is the better jumper(and therefore can finish better).

Oh, I misread you. My mistake. OK, well I agree with your assessment of where Rose is better, but none of that is really skill. I agree, Rose is more athletic than CP3. He was during the first game he ever played as a pro. Rondo is too. Neither are better than CP3 or even legitimately close right now. I'm not entirely convinced Rose is better than Rondo, but they are such different players in completely different situations it's hard to make a legit comparison.
