can you say identity? as in, do whatever derrik rose tells you to do? what if we do land bosh and stoudamire? does that make a championship team? im not sure, but oh my god would it be fun to watch.

did anyone else also notice how much OKC's crowd was into the game? the bulls really should have lost that game, but rose was playing with earplugs and that was that.

Not really a great matchup since Rose can't play defense. How valuable is Kirk? Once he was put in the lineup the Bulls took off.

I was thinking of the offensive shows they would put on, trying to one up each other.

West threw the ball away on an inbounds pass with 5 seconds left - all NO had to do was inbound the ball and they win.

All the Hornets had to do was inbound the ball and shoot free throws with about 9 seconds left. They decided to throw the ball away. Bulls tied it up and sent it into OT. CP got hurt on that play too.

Good deal, aside from apparently blowing a decent lead. Above .500!!

20 point swing. The fact the Bulls lost the first 2 games really bothers me now.

please accept this contribute from a frequent reader, infrequent poster, mostly dormant bulls fan who's starting to eye the bandwagon....

that said, the combo of a frigid friday night in central ill combined with my middle age/married status/lack of better (or any) social opps resulted in me sitting home tonight looking for something to get excited about while quenching a week's worth of work-induced thirst with a series of admiral/diet rites....and before i could stumble across something semi-inappropriate (and thus appealing) on Spike I instead discovered that the Bull were available even to us downstaters.

Have to say i enjoyed what i saw once i joined the cast 2nd quarter on....granted the 4th quarter was rough but i didn't figure cp3 was going down without a fight....and they would have in fact won it if west puts just a bit of air under that in bounds pass late. stacey had all kinds of problems with it but cp3 was open, it was just a matter of throwing the pass with a little touch and then he catches up with it and either lays it in or gets fouled because no one was home at the bulls end of the court.

and that said....kudos to the bullies for doing something with the opportunity presented to them at that point and getting it to ot. we all saw what happened from that point on.

gotta say it was nice to watch a bulls game with some passion (on my part). i still have zero confidence in vdn but lately when i watch noah (how about the rebound in traffic, full court push and point guard worthy dish to rose tonight in the 3rd qt), and especially of late rose and even deng (going to the hoop-who knew?), i feel like they are succeeding despite the coach. There was even a stretch tonight (I think in the 3rd q) when Deng had a mismatch on him defensively and they managed to actually exploit it. Not that doing that is anything more than rec league awareness/execution, but it was still nice to see the players on the court make it happen. for a change.

Well, they certainly have been playing better since I put up the Vinny avatar. So that's a good thing.

Next up, I'm sensing a Mike Martz or Rod Marinelli avatar...

I wonder if allowing him to continue playing on a bad knee made his injury worse. Either way he is having surgery and will miss a couple of months.
