North looks like a criminal defendant on trial....eyes shifting....sitting there with a legal pad and a pen....WHAT IN THE HELL DOES SOME JACKASS WHO DROPPED OUT OF SENN HIGH SCHOOL KNOW ABOUT FINANCE?
This nonsense could only happen right here in HOOTERVILLE!!!

It is obvious that North has ATTENTION DEFICIT DISORDER.....
He wants to jump out of his own skin....great for shock radio....not so good for TV with people with smarts.

This show is not much worse than a lot of other morning shows.

But, North doing his serious face might be more ridiculous than him goofing off. His serious face is hilarious. I got out of bed flipped it on and the first thing I heard was:

Terry: Can I just say something Mike?

I mean it was a sports segment, but still. Its telling.

I hope this does well. This board is better when North is on the air somewhere.

Saw some of this morning and North is so out of his element its sad. This show is going to be the worse of all his latest ventures, plus his input on actual money issues makes me wonder why he isnt broke yet.

Mike realized today that savage isnt anne maxfield because she will not let him talk over her, i like her..lol

Does North still look and dress like he would take in less money than Corky from “Life Goes On” in a bachelor auction fund raiser?

With a decent amount of hype preceding it, WBBM-TV premiered it's new early morning weekday show, "Monsters and Money in the Morning" this week. The show features former WSCR-AM "Monsters" Mike North & Dan Jiggetts, along side "Money" experts, Terry Savage and Mike Hegedus. One would think that a big premiere episode would do well in the ratings. Let's take a peek at the Nielsen overnight ratings for Monday and see...

WBBM-TV's "Monsters and Money in the Morning" is a two hour show, airing from 5:00am until 7:00am.

From 5:00am-6:00am, the averaged ratings yesterday for the 25-54 demographic looked like this:
WBBM-TV -- 0.1 rating / 1 share
WMAQ-TV -- 0.9 rating / 9.3 share
WLS-TV -- 1.3 rating / 12 share
WGN-TV -- 1.1 rating / 11 share
WFLD-TV -- 0.5 rating / 5 share
WPWR-TV -- 0.0 rating / 0.0 share
WCIU-TV -- 0.1 rating / 1 share

From 6:00am-7:00am, the averaged ratings yesterday for the 25-54 demographic looked like this:
WBBM-TV -- 0.1 rating / 1 share
WMAQ-TV -- 1.3 rating / 10.8 share
WLS-TV -- 2.3 rating / 17.5 share
WGN-TV -- 1.2 rating / 9.3 share
WFLD-TV -- 0.7 rating / 4.8 share
WPWR-TV -- 0.0 rating / 0.0 share
WCIU-TV -- 0.3 rating / 2 share

The 18-49 demographic ratings were almost identical. Basically, WBBM-TV's new show lost out to every local channel except for WPWR-TV, which was only airing infomercials. WBBM-TV's only bright spot was the first 15 minutes of the program, when they pulled in a 0.2 rating and a 2 share, thanks largely to a CBS News update program that was bringing in a 0.4 rating and a 6 share, that aired right before it.

However, the blame for this incredibly slow start cannot be placed right on the shoulders of "Monsters and Money in the Morning." WBBM-TV's early morning programming was in the gutter long before this show began, which is one of the main reasons WBBM decided to take a chance on this new show. Early morning TV viewers tend to be creatures of habit and have been watching their favorite channels each morning for a long time. It will take some time and some very creative marketing to get viewers to now give up on their habitual viewing and turn to CBS2, after so many years of not doing so. The question is, if the ratings keep this low, how long can WBBM-TV afford to wait for this experiment to succeed?

Do you think Mike North will learn how to jump the ratings from Hosea Sanders?

This shit show won't last 3 months, sorry Seacrest. Just add this show to long list of north disasters.

The ratings dropped in 1/2 for the 2 hour, what a joke!!
The part I watched, Jiggs was competent and in control. North on the other hand was a infantile moron, nothing new there. It is DOOMED!!! Hopefully, this will be the last of north in the city. Good riddance.

wow watched some clips, just horrible.

North looks like total shit. First he needs a haircut, and someone remind him it's not 1977. Can't believe how aged this guy looks compared to even last year with those dontfademe clips. That whole table concept looks really stupid.

I don't think ABC7's Hosea Sanders & Judy Hsu, NBC5's Rob Elgas & Zoraida Sambolin, and the folks who do "WGN Morning News" & FOX32's "Good Day Chicago" have anything to worry about...

Caught about 10 minutes of this crapfest today, Crappy oops I mean Pappy had chose to wear a affliction T-shirt under a zip up sweater, and a sports snap cap which was covering his moppish head and quite frankly made him look stupid. Jigs looked quite good, and as for Terry Savage, she is no cougar in my book. I did not hesitate to click over to WGN news. I give this show a whopping 3 months before CBS decides to pull the plug. Just one other observation, what the hel l is up with the camera in the table, nobody wants to see Pappy's lousy teeth or haggard looking face. Well there is my 2 cents worth. :thumright:

Put it on for 10 minutes today. They were talking to an English guy about Goose Island Pub. There was a bottle of beer on the table. Pappy opened it and poured a glass. He sniffed it two different times and put it down. Others talked while he did this. It was pretty funny. Mary Kay Kleiss (think thats her name?) served McDonalds capachino's to the table while they talked about McDonalds Frappes??? Mary looks pretty hot for 5-7am! Everybody looks very presentable except for You Know Who! C'mon Mike,if you can't do the "time" then give your spot to Chet Coppock!

Gotta love North doing his meatball English accent for the COO of Goose Island ... and love when he jumps in with "I tot it was for da el!"

http://cbs2chicago.com/video/?id=67208@wbbm.dayport.com

Oy, North is just a clown. It really does sound, when he speaks, like a kid piping up when the adults are talking.

The definition of cougar has officially been ripped apart if anyone puts Savage in the same sentence, by the way.
