North is making a comment about the market and Savage tells him, "I want your sports forecast, not your money forecast", Norths expression was priceless and he didnt say a word. I think today was Norths wake up call that he is not in charge and she will remind him daily if she has to...

I saw the first five minutes this morning but I'm pretty sure Susan Carlson hates him too. After the weather chick said we should expect a dusting of snow, like 2 inches, she threw it to Carlson who said, "that's still 2 more inches than I can handle" or something like that.

To which, on cue, we get that crazy Pappy face followed by some kind of noise. You could just see it was all Pappy could do to hold his tongue. Carlson gave him the evil eye and later you could see the pain on her face every time she had to look in Pappy's direction.

You would think having arguably one of the most trusted personal finance experts in the biz in Terry Savage would give "Monsters & Money in the Morning" credibility on CBS2 weekday mornings. I don't know who brings this new morning show to a screeching halt...The newly hired Mike Hedegus, who used to be at CNBC, or "Pappy'" and his obnoxious shtick...

Despite groupies like Scorehead....the barely literate Mike North is on between 5 and 7 in the morning....he is on with a serious woman...not some ditz he brought along from a restaurant....his radio ratings were in the basement......out of sight is out of mind....the only exchange of ideas concerning the boob is right here on this board....ideas here that this worn out act featuring ignorance and shock could compete in the ratings with Boers and Bernstein are ludicrous....
Jiggetts is not that compelling an on air personality in any medium....the idea that the big old nice guy teddy bear and his dead end North partner would bring anything new or different to sportsradio than they already have is delusional....
North may as well be Tommy Williams....he can get the pub from Sherman and Feder and Laz...but these guys are all in the same fraternity...Pappy is old and stale...North's strength was as an ENTERTAINER...and he is out of material.
NORTH SHOULD HAVE SHUT HIS MOUTH AND TAKEN THE OFFER FROM WSCR.....everything he has touched since then has turned to shit....TIME IS MARCHING ON.....

However, a North & Jiggs reunion in the afternoons on AM1000 would threaten B&B's ratings lead, which I believe is the result of horseshit competition from the Afternoon Saloon.

Scorehead, what do North and Jiggetts have to offer that is so new and different from what they already have done on WSCR?

The truth is if Jiggetts put some real damned effort into this media personality stuff, he could soar.

North has flatlined...what can he reinvent himself as next?

Put them back together on WMVP or a new 3rd station and Jiggetts is thrust back into the role of North babysitter....that got old before and would get older quicker a second time.

I agree with you on Jiggs. If he tried a little harder, & if North stuck to sports & ate a big piece of humble pie, the Monsters reunited in afternoons would be a better show than C, J, & H on the saloon. With some ESPN promotion behind them they could do pretty well.

You are correct SHARK. Urlacher's MN is referencing Pappy's glory year (or two) as an unpaid assistant at Notre Dame high school. I am not certain if he is still involved in this endeavor.

He assisted in coaching basketball only I believe. One thing that is clear is he developed some long lasting (and apparently lucrative) relationships with that fine institution. As you accurately point out, Notre Dame H.S. was a MAJOR contributor to the coffers North/Jiggs used to fund that now deceased show.
