Cutler is doomed.

A 34 Year Old Terrell Owens had 81 Catches for 1355 Yards and 15 TD's in 2007.....

A 34 Year Old Jerry Rice had 108 catches for 1254 Yards and 11 TD's in 1996.......

A 34 Year Old Tim Brown had 76 catches for 1128 and 11 TD's in 2000....

A 33 year old Torry Holt had 51 catches for 722 and 0 TD's

A 32 year old Torry Holt had 64 catches for 796 and 3 td's

He didn't have Jay Cutler throwing to him either.....

They aren't giving up on him at all. They are using him the way they should have in the beginning. Putting him in the slot is best for him and the Bears. Also I don't believe they are looking for a castoff. They are looking for a #1 guy to play on the opposite side of Devin A.

You're probably right, but if thats really the case, why even entertain the thought of Torry Holt? The Bears have enough medicore receivers and Holt is only a #1 if we go back at least 4 or 5 years. They need to worry about the Oline and the secondary first and foremost.

I agree.

Holt had almost 1200 yards in 2007...

Why not just go after TO. He showed he could still go deep.

I would agree because he is a big target and he can stretch the field but I'm not sure if he would be open to learning this offense and he usually wears out his welcome after 2 years. Does he have 2 years left as a #1/2? Jay needs a guy he could build with. That's why I think the Bears need to make Marshall an offer no one can beat.
