I'm going to the game this saturday and I just read that it is Rose bobblehead night. Do you guys have any idea how early I would have to get there to have any shot at getting one? I know for the Patrick Kane bobblehead people were showing up 3 hours before the game which is pretty ridiculous if you ask me.

If its an hour I would consider it.

I got to the Duncan Kieth bobblehead night a couple weeks ago at about 6:40 for a 7:30 puck drop. Plenty left at that time.....

thanks. But, that's Keith. And it was on a weekday. I'm thinking more along the lines of Kaner (similar fan appeal) which was a Sunday afternoon game and I heard they were sold out an hour and a half before the game.

btw, I need that Keith bobblehead to complete my desktop collection. They're going on EBAY for between $40-$50. You don't even want to know what I payed for the Kaner one. (cue Boilermaker's response of "20 cents?")

And like I told you in the other thread where you asked a similar question - you heard wrong. The gates aren't even open early enough for them to be "sold out" that early. I was at the Kane night too - I got one showing up less than an hour ahead of time. Same w/ Sharp, Same w/ Toews. Just because you "know someone" that showed up 4 hours early to get one doesn't mean that much time is required to get one. It just means they have too much time their hands.

Wel, I was right. Got there an hour before gametime and they were all gone. Ticket taker said they had all been gone for about 15 minutes.


But, good news is I found a guy in the lobby who looked like didn't give a crap about the Bulls, let alone the bobblehead he had in his hand so I offered him $20 for it and he accepted. I guess I managed to find the one person in the world who never heard of ebay cause $20 is a steal. In fact, since the ticket to the game was free anyway (and 7 rows behind the sixers bench) I kinda felt better about ripping that guy off than I would if I got one for free. I just wish I could see his face when his buddy calls him up to tell him how much they are going for on ebay and makes fun of him.

yeah maybe if you hold onto it for 20 years. theres like 10 of them from last nights game on ebay right now. buy it now for $100, the others look like theyll sell for about $50. now if there was a jordan bobblehead on there right now i bet it would be going for $300 or more...

I had about 5 people offer to buy mine at the game on Saturday. I said $100 and it's yours, no one bought it. I offered some guy with a hilariously bad three-peat leather jacket a trade, and he wouldn't budge. I think he was mostly insulted that I thought his coat was bad.
