At this point I would accept a bag of balls. Better than nothing.

2012 first round pick from Milwaukee - just to piss Skiles off.

I don't even like that scenario (aside from the possiblity of the fisticuffs that can be almost be assured between Thomas and Skiles at some point thereafter  ) because I don't know if we would be able to capitalize on the extra pick - will it be somone of the same caliber as Tyrus? Worse? Ah, well, they're gonna move him anyway, may as well roll the dice...

I don't think Tyrus Thomas is going anywhere, folks. :( I don't buy all the trade rumors surrounding Thomas for a second and I feel the rumors are inflated for the disappointing forward. I don't think you can get a 12 pack of Bud Light, a 12 pack of Bud Light Golden Wheat or even a case of Coke Zero for Thomas. You're stuck here, Tyrus. Deal with it!

Sir, do I need to remind you about the success rate of your predictions?

I think they are looking for both an expiring deal and a 1st round pick.

It takes another team to make a deal, BD. Expect disappointment tomorrow when the NBA Trade Deadline comes and goes and NOT one Bull gets dealt.

A few teams have offered them that. I think they are holding off on making that deal because they may need him in a deal to dump Kirk or Salmons.

Doesn't Tyrus Thomas' deal expire at the end of the year?

So I guess Nate Robinson is traded. I wonder why we didn't see him in the game last night. He sucks for a three-time slam dunk champ. That's mostly because they don't have any good dunkers in the competition.

Bulls need Kirk and John gone by tomorrow. Does not matter what you get back as long as it's picks or expiring deals.

I would rather they just let Tyrus walk then pick up a 2010 first round pick for him. The cap hit for first round picks still counts against you for free agent purposes. If they make it a 2011 first rounder, I'm sold.

No they don't BS. If that were the case they would be trying to unload that pick too.

Does it? I thought it took one team to make a trade.

Apparently, Salmons will be traded somewhere (I'm hearing Orlando or Milwaukee, but that's just speculation). I would think that moving Thomas would be next on the list if they can still get the expiring deal and draft pick.

If that is all they did I would be fairly happy. Getting a #1 pick for a guy that everyone around the league know you don't want and won't re-sign is pretty good. Dumping Salmons speaks for itself. He clearly isn't the same player.

Salmons proved what the league already knew....very good bench guy, not someone you can count on to be a second scoring option as a starter. He'll have a long career because he plays on the defensive end and capable of blowing up some nights.

Marc Stein of ESPN says Knicks and Bulls are talking about Harrington to Chicago for Tyrus Thomas and Jerome James.

That would be the perfect place for Tyrus to play.
