Yes. Every year. Opening day should be in June next year. So it can be in the 50s.

I was at opening day one year and it was in the single digits. That was brutal. It was near the time of the Tuffy Rhodes game (either one year before, or after). We left in the 6th inning cuz we couldn't take it anymore. Park was only about half full.

2003 was my first season ticket year. There was a snowstorm and they had to rain-check the first game, and the next day when they played it we came again, froze watching the Cubs get owned by the Expos. There was snow on the vines.

I remember telling my cousin we'd be lucky to get to .500 that day. Little wrong on that call.

I was at that game too. The snow didn't stop anyone from showing up and it possibly made everyone crazier.

Opening day is a bit later this year. Hopefully that will give us some relief. Hand attaching to beer while watching baseball just doesn't seem right.

I had a buddy that lived in one of the rooftop apartments in left field (anyone remember the life size cut out of Elvis?) and he always had an opening day party. They kicked him out in '04 (I think) because they turned his apartment into a 'skybox'. That sucked because we spent A LOT of time over there. Good times.

I never know until after I clock in, but last year I was in the bleachers at least 75-80% of the time, especially when it was a big game (Cardinals, White Sox, etc.).

I will be sitting/freezing in the bleachers for Opening Day.

Cubs should open every year with a 12-game road swing so it's like April 18th or so by the time they get to Wrigley. Load the home schedule with June games and make the Marlins and D'bags and stuff shoulder the load in the cold months. Perfect sense. The Twins should do the same thing.

For the record I was at the Winter Classic and Opening Day last year. Opening Day was colder to me at least.

For Cub fans opening day combines the eternal hope of spring with the irrational belief in the impossible.

Am going of course. Only have missed 1 since I was 4.
