Yes. Blocking TEs aren't a huge priority. That's why I've said safety and interior lineman aren't as essential in free agency. You can find them later. If they had signed Rolle I wouldn't have been heartbroken but I don't think it was optimal.

That is patently ridiculous. Philip Daniels has never had double digit sacks in his career. Before he was signed his highest year was 9, and his next highest was 6.5. He's made precisely zero pro bowls. Julius Peppers has had double digit sacks every year but two, five pro bowls and two all-pro seasons.

Their track record on O Line is mediocre.

2008: Chris Williams (questionable), Chester Adams (bad), Kirk Barton (bad)
2007: Josh Beekman (questionable), Aaron Brant (bad)
2006: Tyler Reed (bad)

The only position they seem to do ok on is corner back and that's arguable.

Rams tendered him at a level where they can only match, not receive a pick in return. Bears could Poison Pill him, ala Hutchinson in Minnesota.

And the way Zook used his tight end is the reason why C.J. Fiedorowicz will be in black and gold.

What's sad is that the 3-9 Illini might conceivably have two first round picks. It's an outside shot but possible. That makes me depressed.
