Has sure presided over a lot of mysterious and bizarre shoulder and elbow injuries.
I think he might be satan.
All I know about this guy is that he worked on Prior, never could figure out what his problem was (besides being born with a vajayjay), Wood, now he's got Guzman, who has a mysterious injury after having surgeries performed by Andrews.

Everyone who's anyone gets sent to Andrews; it's no surprise that some of his patients out of many haven't come out very well. What's also no surprise is that the patients who don't come out very well seem to be Chicago Cubs, because when an organization is as terrible at scouting/drafting/developing as this one is, you're going to have some guys in your system whose arms were born defective or ended up that way from bad coaching.

If he is even looking at your shoulder/arm, let alone operating, there is a serious problem with you.

Wasn't Jack McDowell on one of the local shows slamming Andrews? Something about him being so powerful that no one is able to sue him for anything because if any doctor takes the stand against him their career is finished.

Yeah. McDowell said he went to Andrews for a routine clean up and Andrews accidentally cut a nerve in his elbow which ended his career. McDowell tried to take him to court but couldn't find an 'expert' to testify against him. McDowell wrote the story on his blog. Not sure if he's still trying to pursue legal action but it's been about 10 years.

Had a special about him on Inside Sports on HBO. The guy is a machine, even at like 70+.

His list of athletes that he ahs worked on is the 1000's.

On top of it, I think he is the Bama and LSU team doctor.

He and Dr. Jobe are the 2 most renowned surgeons in sports history. I happened to have seen that special and it's amazing how many operations he still performs at his advanced age. But as much as there MAY have been a few surgeries that did not work out ideally, there are a lot of careers he played a part in saving/extending.
